  • At the beginning of the mission, two members of the player's squad have a conversation with each other, saying "We're going deep, and we're going hard." to which the second replies "Surely you can't be serious?" and the first says "I'm serious... and don't call me Shirley." This is a reference to the parody-comedy film Airplane!.
  • When finished with the mission, a picture is shown of Vasquez, Gaz, Price, and Griggs in a line. Some writing to the side of them says "Semper Fi". This is the motto of the United States Marine Corps, short for "Semper Fidelis", which means "Always Faithful" in Latin.
    • The words written on the picture at the end of the level is a reference to the movie Full Metal Jacket.
  • With the use of 'Ragtime Warfare' or the Wii version, a TF141 member says "Drop the weapon! Down on the floor, now!" during the slow-mo part.
  • The final rescue shoot is hard-coded to be done with USP; a new USP will respawn if swapped away earlier. It is possible to switch to another weapon by switching to the USP .45 before reaching the final door, but only momentarily before switching back to USP.
  • The music heard throughout the level is a blend of all themes played during the campaign, and is titled "Don't Call Me Shirley."
  • According to Soap's Journal, this level takes place after the events of Call of Duty 4, is conducted by Task Force 141 and takes place at 9:37 in the morning.
  • The dead civilians on the plane are of extremely low detail.
  • If the player were to skip the entirety of the level by using console commands "ufo" or "noclip" and secure the hostage, one can see that one of the TF141 members still downstairs from the beginning of the level.
  • Free-falling from the earlier 'hull breach' on the lower deck, even after the escape of the hostage, will fail the mission. This is likely a developer's oversight, as it is illogical to assume the location of jump would matter for a parachute-equipped soldier.
