Neversoft was an American video game developer, founded in 1994 by Joel Jewett, Mick West and Chris Ward. Neversoft is best recognized for their line of Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk skateboarding games. The company was acquired by Activision in October 1999. In 2011, Neversoft worked on the Special Ops Chaos mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3[1]. In 2013, Neversoft assisted Infinity Ward in the tenth installment of the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts in the development of the Extinction gamemode[2]. Following the gamemode's success, Activision subsequently merged Neversoft with Infinity Ward in May 2014.[3]
