Okinawa is the largest island in the Ryukyu island chain. A small amount of missions in Call of Duty: World at War take place here, as well as three multiplayer maps.

Call of Duty: World at War Edit

This island serves as the setting for two missions, "Blowtorch & Corkscrew" and "Breaking Point". The final battle in the American campaign takes place in Shuri Castle, where either Polonsky or Roebuck will meet their fate, depending on whom the player saves - if the player saves Polonsky, Roebuck will die, and vice versa. The multiplayer maps Cliffside, Courtyard and Castle take place on Okinawa. Okinawa is the southern most island in Japan and is the first and last battle in the southeast.
