Overdrive is a Martial cyber core in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. Once activated, the player will be able to move faster aim better, and handle equipment quicker. There is a thirteen second delay between uses.
Once upgraded to Enhanced Overdrive, the active time is increased.
Gameplay
When activated, Overdrive increases involuntary functions in gameplay such as reload times, sprint speed, and handling. It can be used similarly to its Advanced Warfare counterpart, allowing for clearer shots and easier kills.
In terms of practicality, it is preferably for getting certain types of challenges such as the "Hold It" accolade in Lotus Towers, which requires the player to kill 10 charging Grunts, a task normally hindered by the fact that Hendricks kills most of them before the player can.
