While the overall rate of fire is low compared to other SMGs, the PK-PSD9's rate of fire within its bursts is very high. A single burst can kill within close range so, provided that the weapon is used rapidly, it has the fastest time to kill among all the SMGs. Stopping Power can make single burst kills more reliable, reducing the number of bullets needed at close range down to two and increasing the range at which it can kill with a single burst. However, the weapon is punishing if the first burst does not kill and suffers against its fully automatic competitors. The PK-PSD9 is largely ineffective at long range due to it requiring multiple bursts to down targets.
- The weapon inspect animation indicates that the weapon consists of a Prokolot pistol placed into a carbine kit.
