PMD-6 (referred by game files as Shoebox) was a cut Call of Duty: World at War anti-personnel mine. The PMD-6 was originally supposed to appear in multiplayer as a tier one perk known as "PMD-6 x2".
Call of Duty: World at War
Edit
Two icons of the PMD-6 can be found in game files. The mine was probably removed early in development, because there are only a HUD icon of the mine, a full-color icon and a perk icon similar to that of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare perks.
Weapon files for the mine can be found in the game's Mod Tools. The PMD-6 can be accessed by replacing script of any weapon with the mine's script. The mine explodes only by external explosion such as a fragmentation grenade, and the models do not present in game, and because of this, the weapon cannot be compiled.
Trivia
Edit
- The mine was replaced with Bouncing Betty, as the sound file for the "Planting Betty" phrase in multiplayer is called "shoebox".
