Pavlov's House is the nineteenth mission in Call of Duty and Call of Duty: Classic. Junior Sergeant Alexei Voronin must help Sergeant Pavlov and his squad recapture an apartment building that is ideal for artillery spotters, and then defend it against a German counterattack.

Plot[]
Having cleared the sewers, Junior Sergeant Alexei Voronin continues with his mission to meet up with Sergeant Yakov Pavlov's forward recon team. In the apartment building, he meets Sergeant Pavlov near the building's exit. Pavlov cautions him that there are German snipers in the area and to keep his head down. Voronin meets with Pavlov's squad, lying prone in a ditch across a snowy field from their objective, the apartment building. Pavlov orders Private Kovalenko to bait the German snipers while Voronin takes them out. Kovalenko balks at this new assignment, but the threat of execution for failure to follow orders is enough to get him moving.
Kovalenko runs across the field, allowing Voronin to shoot seven German snipers when they reveal themselves. A sudden barrage of German artillery fire and following Focke-Wulf 200 Condor bombers forces Pavlov's squad out of the ditch and they run towards the apartment building. German MG42s and infantry fire at them from the ground floor, and the Soviets take cover behind a stone wall at the edge of the field. After a fierce firefight, they push in, clearing the basement and five floors of dozens of German soldiers.
With the apartment building back in Soviet hands, Voronin meets back up with Pavlov on the fourth floor. The German counterattack will begin soon, so Pavlov tells him to use the PTRS-41 anti-tank rifles to destroy the German tanks while his men use the captured MG42s to hold off the German infantry. There are two AT rifles on the second and third floors, facing out to the south and north respectively. Voronin uses them to destroy several attacking Panzer IV tanks, after which waves of German tanks and infantry attack the building. In a four-minute battle, the Germans fight their way into the building only for the Soviet defenders to repulse them in room-to-room fighting with submachine guns and grenades. During the fighting, Sergeant Pavlov may be killed.
After holding off the German attack for four minutes, Soviet infantry and T-34/85 tanks appear from the southeast to reinforce the position. After the Soviets mop up the remaining Germans in the building, Voronin meets with the reinforcements outside of the apartment. If Pavlov is alive, he will join Voronin outside.
