Various events occur in the Call of Duty universe. The first contradiction in the timelines came up after Call of Duty: Ghosts. Mostly between the storylines of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The main reason is the events on the ODIN Space Station and the different futures that are created.

World War 2 Timeline
A timeline of events in the "World War 2 Timeline". It features events from Call of Duty series from January 1st 1940 until September 2nd 1945 from the games Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts, Call of Duty: World at War (Nintendo DS) and Call of Duty: WWII. Unlike the rest of the timelines, the events of this timeline are largely based on real events and its the only timeline which could be considered to be a part of all the other timelines as well.
Black Ops Timeline
A timeline of events in the "Black Ops Timeline". It features events from Call of Duty series from June 11th, 1940 until 2070 from the games Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It also included the events of Call of Duty: Black Ops (Nintendo DS).
Modern Warfare Timeline
A timeline of events in the "Modern Warfare universe". It features events from the Call of Duty series from 25th October 1917 until January 21st, 2017 from the games Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Remastered) , Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It also features events from the Expanded Universe items Modern Warfare 2: Ghost, Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish and Soap's Journal. It included the events of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Nintendo DS),Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Defiance.
Treyarch Zombies Timeline
A timeline of events in the "Treyarch's Zombies". It features events from the Call of Duty series from 5 A.D. until an unknown date from the zombies mode in the games Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Black Ops III and the Call of Duty: Zombies comic books.
Ghosts Timeline
A timeline of events in the "Ghosts universe". It features events from the Call of Duty series from July 8th, 2017 until July 5th, 2027 from Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Extinction Timeline
A timeline of events in the "Extinction Timeline". It features events from the Call of Duty series from the extinction mode in the game Call of Duty: Ghosts from the June 20th, 2025 to November 25th, 2027 .
Advanced Warfare Timeline
A timeline of events in the "Advanced Warfare universe". It features events from the Call of Duty series from July 10th, 2054 until January 8th, 2061 from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Infinite Warfare Timeline
A timeline of events of the "Infinite Warfare universe". Since Infinite Warfare has no mention of Gregorian calendar dates, the SDF calendar is used here.
