Prototype Weapons are featured in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Prototype Weapons come in four levels of rarity: Common, Rare, Legendary, and Epic. Each includes its own combination of Gun Perks and stat differences. All of the Prototype Weapons and how to unlock them are shown in the Armory.
In order to unlock and use Prototype Weapons, players either have to use their Salvage to craft them, rank up in Mission Teams, and earn them exclusively in the Supply Drops through the QR-M5TR Collection. Players can also unlock all variants (except variants for the Mission Team Depot) in Supply Drops.
In order to craft a weapon from the Prototype Lab, it costs 200 Salvage to craft a Common weapon, 500 for a Rare weapon, 2000 for a Legendary weapon and 4000 for an Epic weapon.
Additionally, on January 11th, 2017[1], a Mark II collection was added, which is a collection of all Prototype Weapons available through gameplay with an added bonus of an exclusive camouflage of that weapon rarity's color and an extra 15% XP per kill. Another update was released on the 27th January, 2017[2] that added all Mission Teams Prototype Weapons to have Mark II counterparts.
