Punta Gorda (Spanish for Fat Point) is a Stryker that appears in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It appears in the mission "Team Player", and is part of a convoy of vehicles on the bridge. It then enters Tunnel Harvey with the Humvee 'Blue Steel' and disappears, apparently into a wall, as if the player gets out of the map using the glitch in the school playground, and then go up to that tunnel and go inside, it is a dead end.
Service
Edit
It is never seen after entering the tunnel so its status unknown. It probably survived the invasion of the town, as the OpFor are easily conquered and Punta Gorda was obviously far from the massive ambushes concentrated around the school, which the OpFor was using as their headquarters in the town. It is one of the only three Stryker vehicles in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the others being Honey Badger and Bugs.
Bugs and Punta Gorda are the only two Strykers that take part in the Rangers' invasion in "Team Player". Bugs is the only Stryker in the level which the player sees having any interaction with the enemy, as it is giving fire support to the Rangers and destroying an OpFor BMP-2. What Punta Gorda's role in the invasion is unknown, as it never actually fires its turret in the presence of the player. It is most likely, however, that Punta Gorda was simply intended to help with patrolling the part of the town that the player was not assigned to.
