Sergeant Purcell is a character seen at the end of the mission "Boot Camp", in Call of Duty: World at War (Nintendo DS).

Sergeant Purcell was employed at a Boot Camp that trained new recruits to be ready for war. Purcell was stationed at Mortar Training when a new recruit, Rook, was sent to him by Sgt. Dyke to be trained in the use of Mortar equipment, and how to operate it. After a brief instruction on how to operate the mortar, Rook was then instructed to destroy several old cars. After completing this, Rook then moved to a set of nearby stairs where other recruits where standing. Purcell then gave a short speech to the present recruits about how they have just finished their training. This marks the end of "Boot Camp", and Purcell isn't seen again in any future missions.
