Russia (Russian: Россия) is the world's largest country located in northern Eurasia heavily featured in the Modern Warfare series. Although protagonists in World War II games and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Russia is the main enemy of the United States and NATO within the series. In Call of Duty: Black Ops II, if the player completes all the Strike Force missions, Russia will ally with the United States and NATO. It was briefly mentioned in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and the Russian flag is seen in Call of Duty: Heroes as a decorative item. The Common Defense Pact faction is located in Russia, in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), Russia appears in the Old Comrades mission, which set in St. Petersburg, where John Price and Kyle Garrick are hunting The Butcher.
