For the similarly named wildcard, see Primary Gunfighter.

Secondary Gunfighter is a Wildcard in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. It allows the player to equip two attachments on their secondary weapon. It is often paired with Overkill to strengthen the second primary.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II[]

"Take a 2nd attachment for your secondary weapon."
Create-a-Class Description.

In addition to the restrictions also present in primary weapons, players are not able to put a second attachment on a secondary if Dual Wield is being used.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare[]

There are some restrictions to the attachment combinations (additionally to those which are also present on primary weapons): Akimbo, Tactical Knife and Laser Sight all conflict with each other. In addition, Akimbo cannot be used with any kind of optics, nor with the Parabolic Microphone.

Note that on weapons that are Akimbo by default (SAC3 and XMG), the use of Laser Sight or Parabolic Microphone is allowed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III[]

"Take a 2nd attachment for your second weapon."
— In-game description

Secondary Gunfighter returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops III. It is mostly the same as in Call of Duty: Black Ops II except optics are counted as separate and do not count as an attachment, so with Secondary Gunfighter the player can have two attachments along with an optic if they have enough Allocation Points.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4[]

"Unlocks 1 additional attachment slot for your Secondary weapon."
— In-game description

Secondary Gunfighter returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Trivia[]

Call of Duty: Black Ops II[]

  • The soldier in the icon is holding a TAR-21, which contradicts the wildcard's purpose as the TAR-21 is a primary weapon.
