Call of Duty: World at WarEdit
Shuri Castle plays a major part of the final Pacific Theater level in Call of Duty: World at War. During this level, Private Miller uses a radio to call in air strikes on Shuri Castle to destroy any remaining resistance. Two multiplayer maps take place in Shuri Castle, Courtyard and Castle. Two achievements can be earned during the level, as well as two after completion of the level. These achievements are Mortar-dom, Guardian Angel, The Setting of the Sun, and The Last Stand.
Call of Duty: World at War (Nintendo DS)Edit
Shuri Castle also appears in Call of Duty: World at War (Nintendo DS), in the campaign level "Storm the Walls" and at the end of "Castle Approach". Private Rook must destroy two artillery guns, which are heavily defended by several Japanese, then clear the castle itself. Rook and his squad storm the castle and up the stairs, clearing all of the interior rooms. As soon as they reach the roof, a few Japanese squads attack, but are mowed down by the Americans. Once Rook's squad calls that the roof is clear, Rook plants the American flag, signaling the imminent end of Japanese resistance and war efforts in the Pacific.
