Campaigns Synopsis Edit

Call of Duty Edit

This first Call of Duty gamestarts out with you in the role of Private Martin. After training you get dropped before the Beach landings as a pathfinder so the paratroopers can damage enemy lines for a better landing. You get split from your unit as the pilots drop their troops in the wrong places. You hook up with other units and attack and hold Sainte-Mère-Église. After your bravery during this fight where only a handful of troops take on more than a company of Germans, you are sent deep behind enemy line to free Captain Price and Ingram.

The player then take the role of Evans, a Sergeant in the British 6th Airborne Division in the capture of Pegasus Bridge. You and your Captain are then transferred to the SAS for your actions at the bridge. Evans is then set with the task of destroying the AA guns at the top and bottom of the Eder dam while Price and Waters steal a German lorry for the escape. The trio are then tasked with infiltrating the German Battleship Tirpitz, destroying engines and communication equipment and stealing the ship's naval logs. During this course of action Cpt. Price is overwhelmed and killed while defending a hallway.

Finally, you participate as a Soviet conscript Alexei Ivanovich Voronin. You start as a Private but are promoted to Sergeant later. You eventually participate in the liberation of Poland as a tank commander. You play Alexei on the very last level while you take over Berlin. "Campaign is a great way to have fun", said Isaac Dick.

Call of Duty: United Offensive Edit

In this expansion you play as an American soldier in the Battle of the Bulge.

You also play as British RAF gunner James Doyle, who is shot down and saved by Dutch Resistance and Maj. Ingram. Doyle then becomes an SAS and sabotages Sicily's defense grid to help ships get in safe.

You participate in Operation Little Saturn, the Battle of Kursk, where you fight in Ponryi and then in Kursk itself. The player is able to control a tank once again.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour Edit

This game was the first to allow the player to control more than just the standard characters for each campaign.

You start off as Aleksandr Sokolov in the Battle of Stalingrad, in the counteroffensive of November. You attack Mamayev Kurgan and then play as sniper, Tanya Pavelovna. You help defend a tractor factory until a tank can be repaired and you can escape. You then play as Nikolai Badanov, a tank commander who needs to reach HQ. Tanya is injured by a tank when the building she is sniping from is hit. After successfully taking Red Square, you participate in Little Saturn by taking a small German held airfield near Stalingrad.

For the first time in the series, you fight in North Africa where you play as Edward Carlyle, a soldier tasked with destroying German oil deposits then saving an allied soldier in a German held fortress.

Finally, you participate as the Americans in the Battle of Aachen. You play as Charles "Chuck" Walker, an American Sergeant who is later promoted to Lieutenant for his work in the sewers of Aachen. You soon take the role of Sam Rivers, an African American tank commander. The player then captures the bridge over the Rhine in Remagen.

Call of Duty 2 Edit

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One Edit

This game is the only game where you only play as one faction, and it was the first to feature non German enemy troops. You play as a soldier from the 1st Infantry Division. It focuses on your squad of friends as they grow, get promoted and possibly die.

You participate in Operation Torch, Operation Husky and Operation Overlord. You then move into Germany by crossing the Siegfried Line.

Call of Duty 3 Edit

This game features 4 Campaigns, American, British, Canadian and Polish. The missions are in no order, and usually do not have more than two faction missions in a row. All missions are in France.

The American missions focus on the eventually capture of the Falaise Gap and Chambois. You start in Saint Lo where the Germans and the Americans are engaged in heavy fighting. Polish and Canadian troops force the Germans to Chambois where they are later encircled.

The British Campaign haves you assume control of Sgt. Doyle from United Offensive, where you parachute in France with Major Ingram to help the French Resistance sabotage German positions. Ingram is presumed dead but in reality is captured. The French and Doyle infiltrate a town in order to rescue him. One of the French Resistance leaders is Isabelle DuFontaine.

The Canadian campaign focus on Private Cole and his squad leader, World War I veteran Lieutenant Robiechaud moving to reinforce the Polish attack on Hill 262. They also take a factory complex held by the Germans and defending it from their Counterattack. Sergent Callard gets put in for the Victoria Cross after sacrificing his life to make sure the explosives went off.

The Polish part focus on a Polish tank crew sweeping the countryside for Axis Armour. They move to take Hill 262 where they face extremely determined resistance and suffer heavy casualties before the Canadians arrive.

Call of Duty: Roads to Victory Edit

The player assumes the role of the Americans, Canadians and the British in several operations in over 14 missions.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Edit

This page contains major spoilers. In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the classic World War II scenario is abandoned and brought to the modern times. The player will play as "Soap" Mactavish, working in the 22nd regiment under Captain John Price and Gaz, who's rank is unknown (he is higher than Soap but lower than Price). The SAS works throughout the campaign searching for leads on the two antagonists in the game, OpFor leader Khaled Al-Asad and Ultranationlist leader Imran Zakhaev.

The secondary protagonist is US Marine Sgt. Paul Jackson stationed in Middle Eastern operations to hunt down Al-Asad and also save a friendly tank in a bog. Jackson, along with 30000 other Marines in his unit die by Al-Asad's nuclear explosion. Captain Price and his squad are left to kill Al-Asad in his safehouse, avenge the dead Marines, and find out about Imran Zakhaev.

Two special levels appear in-game when Captain Price and his crew await extraction in Al-Asad's safehouse. Price tells his men about the time in 1996 where he and his partner Captain MacMillan make their way to an abandoned building where they try to kill Imran Zakhaev as part of an assignment in Prypiat, Ukraine.

The last levels of the game is where Soap, Price, and Gaz save a new team member from Russians (SSgt. Griggs), fight their way to a ICBM missile silo owned by Zakhaev, and finally stop the missiles from destroying the east coast of the US and put a shocked Zakhaev on the run.

In the last mission, Game Over, the team make one last effort to kill Zakhaev. After a hardcore truck-to-truck fight and a missile firing helicopter encounter, Bravo Six makes their last stand on a bridge with no possible reinforcements. Griggs and Gaz are killed, but Price quickly slides his M1911 to Soap. Soap dramatically kills Zakhaev and gets extracted by a Loyalist team led by Kamarov, who assisted the team in Blackout.
