"A ceremonial blade capable of razor-sharp cuts and deadly melee action in close-quarters combat."
— In-game description

The Sword returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III as the Soulrender. It was added on March 6th, 2024 as part of the Season Two Reloaded update.

Multiplayer[]

The Soulrender works differently than other melee weapons in Modern Warfare III. When using the fire weapon bind, the player will be able to do a takedown on the enemy no matter the direction they're facing. Using the melee or aim weapon binds will function like a normal melee weapon.

In the Juggermosh mode, players have the chance of finding "The Flesh Tearer" blueprint of the Soulrender within the match. When used on an enemy, players will be able to kill enemies with one swing.
