So the new one is out, someone want to update?

I think it has been confirmed to be named Call of Duty: World at War and set in the pacific. Look at the article on Wikipedia. Pvt. BartlettMarksman

Thank you for pointing that out, I will improve our article now RoyalTheoryRetiredMod
actually call of duty world at war and call of duty 5 are seperate working titles - there should be a seperate page for world at war and cod5 - they are doing what gta did
Please provide a source if you want your information included--Bigm279319:49, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

No, they are on the right track. If you notice, World at War's title lacks the number 5, indicating that it is not the 5th instalment, but merely a continuation on the Call of Duty game series, similar to Call of Duty: Roads to Victory or Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. Also, Activision never called Infinity Ward's next Call of Duty "6"; they just said that there will be another game released in '09.

[edit] Lack of Plot Synopsis

It appears that the plot synopsis, albeit short and incomplete has been removed. Teh Pwnerer 23:06, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pvt. Miller

In COD4, in training, one of the soldiers in black is named Pvt. Miller, who is one of the main characters in World at War —Unsigned comment was added by Codfanatic (talk · contr).

[edit] weapons and explosives?

should we rename the weapons and explosives section to challenges and attachments? because thats what its really about. BR Ninja15 18:24, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Miller

This page states that he blond may be Miller, but Miller's profile says he has brown hair. BPL 22:14, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

Shocking amount of spelling mistakes in the 'Trivia' section. Had to clean up :P --[[User:JKdap|<font color="blue>JKdap</font color 21:09, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

CoDFan3 22:56, 21 April 2009 (UTC) I recently found a comment about something about Polonsky in the Trivia that was very, very hard to read, and I was so confused as the comment was unintelligble that I decided to erase it. Just thought I'd let you know. It also seemed to(from what I got from it) belong more in the Polonsky trivia section than this trivia section. --User:CoDFan3

[edit] Pacific Theater

Alright, Ive been seeing people on here claim this is the first FPS to feature the Pacific, let me remind you it is not. Medal of Honor:Rising Sun was the first, and was 100% in Asia, except for the Pearl Harbor missions. That is all. —Unsigned comment was added by 24.239.253.244 (talk · contr).

I'm not quite sure that you read the sentence correctly.
This is the first Call of Duty game to feature the Imperial Japanese Army. That said, it is the first game to be placed largely in the Pacific Theater.
It was saying that World at War is the first of the series to feature Pacific warfare, not that it was the first FPS of all time to be in the Pacific. In addition, I'm sure that Rising Sun wasn't the first FPS to be set in the Pacific. I'm going to restore the original sentence, but rephrase the last part of it a bit so it does not imply that it is the first FPS ever to feature Pacific combat. Sound good? Lt. Col. [edit] Protect this page?

I just went through the last like 10 edits, and there has been about 5 vandalism edits I've seen all from unregistered users. I can't undo some of them for some reason (Can't undo due to intermediate changes?). I think this page should be protected, but I don't know how to do so. Can some1 please revert the vandalism and protect this?

[edit] Mods

Should we add something about custom mods? Just like zombiex, commod etc. (Ever121 05:40, 4 July 2009 (UTC))

[edit] Final Fronts on other systems.

As low-grade as it is, Call of Duty, World at War-Final Fronts, is an almost completly different game. I think they should release an X-Box 360 and/or PS3 version of that game. I believe that, even just in the training level, what happens is directly related to the relationship between Miller, Polonsky, and Roebuck. Do you agree? Do you think there should be other-system versions of the game?

[edit] challenges

the challenges pages need to be cleaned up. there are pages for a list of cod4 challenges and a list of cod waw challenges. Each page lists all challenges and how to complete them (which is the good part), but there are also separate pages for some challenges, such as desperado that aren't even linked to from the challenge list. Critchell Talk 15:14, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] disputing validity of sentence

German Wehrmacht famous for carrying the German Submachine gun, the MP40.

The sentence above is found in the SP campaigns section of the page. I disagee, saying that instead of the Wehrmact being famous for the MP40, they were more famous for MG42. What does anyone else think? Thanks, Attack Rhino 04:11, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

I don't think the Germans were famous for any gun. So the MP40 is highly opinionated, and not needed in the article. You Drove Them Deep into the Heart of the Reich You thought they were dead... You were wrong

[edit] PS3 trophies

There were only 45 trophies before the map packs came out is it ok to change--Benoede 07:42, October 11, 2009 (UTC)
