The Tesla Anti-Air Defense System is a trap in Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction mode. They are essentially a Tesla Trap that cannot move which can be purchased in a fashion similar to purchasing an Electric Fence. It is found exclusively in the map Exodus. It costs $750 to activate one Tesla Anti-Air Defense System, and once activated, it will target Cryptids with electricity attacks.

Like a Tesla Trap, the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System does not attack Cryptids via contact with the trap. Instead, the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System individually targets nearby Cryptids and zaps them directly. Like with the Tesla Trap, the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System has an attack delay after it zaps a Cryptid, in which it cannot attack additional nearby Cryptids until that attack delay expires. Once that attack delay expires, the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System will be ready to zap another Cryptid.

The Tesla Anti-Air Defense System is expensive as a trap, but very powerful, capable of killing Hunters and Scorpions in one attack, and dealing severe damage to targets like Phantoms, Gargoyles and Rhinos. Despite the name, the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System is capable of targeting nearby ground-based enemies. The Tesla Anti-Air Defense System's targeted attack has an extremely long range, even capable of attacking flying enemies who are well out of a player's physical reach, making it very effective at disposing of incoming Bombers and even damaging Gargoyles should one be flying too close to a Tesla Anti-Air Defense System. It can also be particularly useful for combatting Scorpions, who like to take elevated positions to attack players, and often jump within the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System's effective range. Because it is an electricity based attack, it is also affected by the Arcing Stun Armory upgrade, upgrading its lethality, and an Engineer can make the Tesla Anti-Air Defense System even more powerful and last even longer. Tesla Anti-Air Defense Systems can operate for a long time even when they score many kills, with them being capable of lasting an entire generator startup process before turning off.

The Tesla Anti-Air Defense System's greatest utility is that of killing flying enemies. This will allow players to focus less on aerial targets.

There are a total of ten tesla Anti-Air Defense Systems located across the map. Four of them are located around the starting area, one is located on top of a truck just outside of the starting area near the car garage, two are located on top of the gas station, one is located at the top of the road leading to the gas station, one is located in the back of the car garage, and one is located near the east side of the base, on top of a shelter. Any active Tesla Anti-Air Defense System units situated inside the base will instantly be sent offline when the Ancestor that attacks the west side of the base hits the generator, and they cannot be purchased again until the generator is brought back online.

When nearby, Tesla Anti-Air Defense Systems can be an incredibly effective means of defense, especially as the game goes on with aerial enemies becoming more and more common.

When a Tesla Anti-Air Defense System goes offline, the game will notify the player who activated that particular Tesla Anti-Air Defense System unit with the erroneous message "Electric Fence has gone offline".
