Tiger is often seen as a show-off camouflage, as it provides virtually no camouflage on any multiplayer map in the game. Its popularity may be in part based on its similarity to the Red Tiger Camouflage and Blue Tiger Camouflage patterns in the Modern Warfare series, as they are difficult to unlock. In appearance, parts of some weapons are colored pitch black (the handguard and stock for example) while the receiver, barrel, and magazine are camouflaged. This trait is shared with Gold Camouflage.
Tiger Camouflage can be found on a Commando dropped by a dead ally in Victor Charlie. The AI ally that drops it usually comes in the second wave of SOG reinforcements during the village assault.
Curiously, the Tiger Camouflage found in Black Ops' campaign can sometimes 'jump' from one Commando to another, as seen here.
The Tiger Camouflage returns in the campaign mode of Black Ops II. It is unlocked after completing the campaign level Karma. It does not appear in multiplayer mode.
