Upgraded Iron Sights is an attachment exclusive to handguns in the Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Upgraded Iron Sights is available for and exclusive to every handgun except the Python and the ASP. This attachment causes the iron sights to become illuminated, a feature which is very useful in low-light conditions, as well as assisting in general aiming.
Upgraded Iron Sights is useful if the user is either using Second Chance or doesn't have enough COD Points to buy any other attachment. It may help Second Chance users to get in shots more easily, but other attachments, such as Extended Mags may prove to be more useful to a class using any other perk.
