Welcome to my personal userpage for IRL gun facts for guns in the COD series. Other users can edit this page but vandalism WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If a gun from a certain game is not listed here, than that means there is no inaccuracies or that I have not found any yet. Also I do my best to keep info on the page accurate and update as time goes on. No cut weapons allowed.
This Page is a Work in Progress

Edit
- In game the FG 42 is shown in the game as a supergun with rifle-grade firepower, high accuracy, optional full-auto fire and a Zeiss ZF4 scope. In real life the weapon was excessively light, difficult to fire accurately and would physically destroy itself if fired in full-auto for any meaningful amount of time.

Edit
Beretta 92SB
Edit
- Due to the rounded trigger guard and flat magazine bottom the "M9" is actually a Beretta 92SB.
- It is inaccurate for the 92SB to be the main sidearm of Sergeant Paul Jackson and many other Marines. The M45 / MEU(SOC) would be more accurate to see as they are part of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion.
- The hammer stays in the half-cocked position at all times, despite the fact it should be fully cocked after the first shot.
Heckler & Koch USP45
Edit
- The USP.45 is the main sidearm of Soap and other SAS soldiers in the game, but it would be more accurate to see them using SIG-Sauer P226, SIG-Sauer P228 or Browning Hi-Power.
- The hammer stays down at all times, as if the weapon were DAO.
Springfield Armory PX9109L
Edit
- The handgun it was modeled after can't be known for sure, but it is closest to a Springfield Armory PX9109L "Loaded".
- The weapon's hammer is never cocked, which would be required to be able to fire this single-action pistol; instead it is always in the half-cocked position.

- The hammer never in the cocked position, which would be required to be able to fire this single-action pistol.

- The P90 in the game is the "Triple Rail" model.
Winchester 1200

Benelli M4 Super 90 "M1014"
Edit
- The player never cocks the weapon on an empty reload, which would mean that a round isn't chambered and the gun couldn't fire
Airsoft JG "AK Beta-F"
Edit
- Despite the fact that it is suppose to be the AKS-74U it is actually modeled after the JG "AK Beta-F" airsoft rifle.
Colt M16A4
Edit
- The M16A4 incorrectly fires fully automatic in single player, unlike in multiplayer, in which it is depicted accurately, firing in three-round burst mode.
- When you mount an optic on it the front sight and gas block are remove, the removed gas block would render the gun unable to cycle automatically after the first shot, and the shooter would have to manually rack the bolt to load the next round into the chamber, effectively making the gun bolt-action.
- The weapon appears to be using an M16A1 flash hider.
Colt AR-15A3
Edit
- The so called "M4A1" in the game is actually the Colt AR-15A3 due to the 16 inch non-stepped heavy barrel.
- In real life the AR-15A3 is semi-automatic only.
- The A3-15A3 has a Colt Canada C8 four-position collapsible stock, an M16A1 pistol grip and M16A1 flash hider, a KAC RIS handguard, and lacks a bayonet lug.
- If optics are attached, the front sight and the gas block will be removed the removed gas block would render the gun unable to cycle automatically after the first shot, and the shooter would have to manually rack the bolt to load the next round into the chamber.
- The "M4 Carbine" designation found in multiplayer refers to the three round burst version of the M4A1.
Kalashnikov AK-47
Edit
- The AK 47 in game has the early stamped receiver of a Type I AK-47, but the ribbed top cover from the AKM.
Heckler & Koch HK91A3
Edit
- The "G3" is actually the HK91A3 noted by lack of paddle magazine-release, collapsible stock, and two position fire selector.
Heckler & Koch G36C
Edit
- The G36C anachronistically appears in both missions set in 1996, despite the G36 series not entering Bundeswehr service until 1997, and the G36C itself not being introduced until 2001.
- It is incorrectly depicted with a weighted magazine that is released by flicking the weapon downwards; G36 magazines are removed by actuating the paddle forward of the trigger guard.
Springfield Armory M1A
Edit
- The M14 is actually the Springfield Armory M1A due to the lack of a bayonet lug.
- It does have the fire-control lever present on the right side of the receiver.

- The R700 is short for Remington 700.
- The Remington Model 700P is the one used in game.

Edit
- The "Barrett .50cal"'s real name is the Barrett M82A1.

Edit
- The M249 is a stand in for the FN Minimi for the SAS since they use the earlier variant of the M249.

Edit
M40A1
Edit
- The M40A3 is really the M40A1.
- It has a 7 round magazine, but in reality it only holds 5.
Call of Duty: World at War
Edit
M1 Garand
Edit
- It's depicted as being able to reload partway through an en-bloc clip; while there is facility for unloading the gun without firing every shot, it was not considered practical to do so in combat as American soldiers were generally advised to fire off remaining shots if reloading was necessary.
M1 Carbine
Edit
- Erroneously called an M1A1 Carbine in-game, despite not having a folding stock.
M1A1 Thompson
Edit
- The Thompson looks more like a mix of the M1A1 for the iron sight and bolt hand location, and the M1928A1 because of its compensator and drum magazines.
Winchester M1897
Edit
- The M1897 has an incorrect magazine size of 6 in singleplayer and 4 in multiplayer, instead of the actual 5.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized
Edit
Beretta 92FS Inox
Edit
- The M9 is the Beretta 92FS Inox due to the silver finish.

- Also you look at the inventory icon, you can see that the barrel is longer than the slide, meaning it is a USP Tactical.
Colt Model 933
Edit
- The "M4 Carbine" in-game is actually a Colt Model 933. You can tell because it has an M16-style sight and the jagged buttstock of an M16A2, but is much shorter.
