Why hello there!!!1!!11!!!one!! Z here. How you doing.
I've been on the
haddock salmon CoD wiki for over a year now, and have seen it progress greatly in that time, but I haven't had too much time to contribute massively, so I'm still a little nervous about doing so :s, so I'll mostly be writing and correcting little bits here and there to get used to the flow (if it's really that different to Wikipedia).
- Relatively experienced Call of Duty player
- MW2, Black Ops and Call of Duty 4 expert... I think :P
- Quite a bit of gaming experience
- Mainly into FPSs, Racing and strategy games
- Notable games and series for me include Call of Duty, Gran Turismo, Sim City, Counter-Strike, Quake, GTA ... and a few more I can't think of right now
- Born and living in the UK (sorry North Americans, I promote the (original) English language!). Bulgarian origins. I can speak English (obv lol!), Bulgarian, French and Spanish.
Call of Duty and IEdit
I'll start off by saying I'm by no means the most experienced CoD player around. My first CoD game was Modern Warfare 2. I'd say I was likely one of the Christmas noobs whose arse you kicked back then.
I was tempted to buy it when it came out, but, due to a mixture of Counter-Strike and Halo experience, I hated FPSs on consoles, mainly thanks to Halo, and since I buy most games for PS3 (I prefer PC only for FPSs, strategy games and the Need for Speed series), I was put off. Then my rowing club coach bought an Xbox 360 for the boathouse with MW2. I played on it and instantly fell in love with CoD. I got the game that Christmas and loved it.
Since then, I've looked at hundreds of pages of info and hundreds of videos on many different websites, and can now say that I'm an expert at Modern Warfare 2 and Blops relative to the whole CoD-playing community (pros and noobs included). As a result of my explorations I also have decent knowledge of CoD4: Modern Warfare and know a teeny bit about CoD: WaW.
I am experienced in wiki editing and am happy and comfortable to contribute here.
I preordered Black Ops and started playing it soon after release day (9/11/10). My opinion is a mixed one. My views on Black Ops I've written in the My thoughts on... section.
I've given up on buying DLC for CoD games because it is too expensive - £11 for five maps, really!? The Variety Pack in CoD4 is £7.49 for 4 maps, is one more really worth an extra 3 quid?
I'm also the proud owner of Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I got them both from Amazon and they are both amazing! Thoughts on Call of Duty 4 coming soon.
In case you are wondering, I've reached 7th prestige in MW2 and 9th prestige in Blops. I still haven't prestiged on Call of Duty 4, but, then again, with all the cheaters and connection issues (because not many people play anymore), I haven't played on it enough to do so.
MW3 has been preordered since September from Sainsbury's Entertainment - there was an unmissable special offer you may have just missed.
Battlefield 3 has been preordered since September as well, from Amazon. I cannot wait!
My thoughts on...Edit
See My thoughts on... for my thoughts on various topics, including Call of Duty games and the console wars...
What I can offerEdit
If there's a page someone would like to add to the wiki about any aspect of MW2, I'm more than happy to help and share my knowledge and experience. If there's something to be explained about a map or weapon, I've played and used them all, so I can help write up tactics and trivia.
Services similar to the above now also available for Black Ops!
