Hello KSI xLongShotz, and welcome to the Call of Duty Wiki! Thanks for your contributions. We hope you'll stick around to make even more!

Have you created your user page yet? It's your own personal page, and you can do anything you want with it! Your user page will also help us get to know you as an editor better.

Here are some links that you may find helpful:

  • Recent changes provides you with a list of pages that other users are currently editing, which might give you an idea of where you can help out.
  • The help pages are a resource for you to use if you are new to wikis or need a guide for editing.
  • The forums are a good place to ask any questions you may have, or start your own discussion.
  • The Call of Duty Wiki's policies and guidelines are some rules for you to follow, and will also help you make better contributions.

Still have questions? Feel free to ask me or contact another administrator. Sysops' names are highlighted in green and bureaucrats' names are highlighted in cyan.

We hope you enjoy editing here, and look forward to seeing you around!

Le Banner Request[]

Hello, I am The Milkman. I edit and write blogs and around Wikia. I noticed the banner you made for N7, which brought me to your other banner work. So I was wondering, could you make me a badass banner like that? It'd be kind of cool to have one like that for my blogs and user pages. I have an idea of what it might look like, and I can hunt down a few images for you. Would you be willing to help me out? I understand if you're busy.

P.S. Please respond on my talk page, as I am more likely to see it there. Thank you.

RE: Le Banner Request[]

Thanks a lot! I looked around for some awesome images; I'll link you to them. I'm not really privvy to the whole image editing process, so understand if I'm totally ignorant to all of this. Basically, I'd like something along the lines of the one you did for N7. A rectangular box with a series of characters lined up. If you could get the images in black and white, that'd be great. If not, that's fine. Also, at the bottom, if you could, simply put the words "The Milkman" (without the quotes) like you did with N7.

Here are the images. I'll link you to a page where you can get different sizes, for the sake of convenience. If you can, try to put them in this order, from left to right. Where applicable, try to crop the character out of the background.

  • This or that, whichever size suits the banner best. Feel free to crop out the lower half of the second image if need be.
  • Doviculus
  • Connor in the middle, if you can. In fact, if you need a background, that could work, with the American flag. Just slap the other characters around him maybe?

Thanks again!

--The Milkman | I always deliver. 02:07, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. Take your time; there's no rush, obviously. The Milkman | I always deliver. 23:09, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

It looks good! Did you want to keep working on it, or is that enough? I would appreciate getting Isaac and Lee in there, and it does look a bit small. Other than that, however, it does look really good. If at all possible, bigger is probably better. Maybe about the size of N7's or bigger.

The Milkman | I always deliver. 00:51, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, again, don't want to be bother, but is there any way you could geta banner to be 972x270?

Sorry for banning you like this. I talked to an admin and another user about the warnings you received in the past, in addition the day you showed the chat your tweeter account. Signature[]

So you know, I've edited your signature. It had a lot of code that hadn't been ended, as well as links that didn't actually go anywhere (which also caused issues with the code). I've added in links where they should be according to the sigs layout, as well as ended off all the code that wasn't correctly ended. This should prevent your sig from causing any more coding issues, such as on This username better work's talk page.

A couple questions[]

Yo. Lately, I've been interested in helping out with the news team, and I just wanted to ask you how to code a few things:

1. How do you create the "keeping you up to date with all the wiki news" thing with all the news team members on it?

2. How do you put a hidden link into an image?

Also, how's Kancolle? Higaboi21talkhttp://i.imgur.com/KI7e8hQ.png 05:24, January 19, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Your message[]

Hey DBD Abyss,

Thanks for your thoughtful and thorough message on my talk page. I wanted to clarify some statements about the past and the future of Discussions here.

The Past -- Your observations are totally accurate, and to date there have not been any Discussions users who have taken the leap into editing. But there is potential there. In my comment on the forum, I gave two examples of users who showed an interest in editing and the different types of replies that they received.

You're right, it's not easy to edit on mobile. In the apps, there is not yet that functionality. On the mobile web site, section editing using source is possible. But in my opinion it's set up better there (right now) for people who already know what they're doing. The admin making a quick edit on their phone or fixing a typo. We (Fandom) do indeed need to work on ways to make mobile editing more accessible to newer people. It's a huge challenge and we talk a good deal about how to meet it. As you said, the shift to mobile web browsing has challenged many other sites that rely on user-generated content, and there is no magic bullet solution yet.

Discussions is meant as a half-step. It's a modern and mobile-friendly interface (in the app or on mobile web) and requires an account to post, already getting the user over that first hump of signing up. Posting in Discussions is easy, and it's a good way to get someone invested and more likely to return. And that's where someone needs to step in and show them the rest of the way.

The Future -- the plan for the next few months is detailed here and was also linked from my forum comment. There is nothing required of any Call of Duty admin or editor, unless they wish to help out. This will be fully implemented by Fandom and users who have volunteered to take this on. And we are committed to trying hard to make it work. I believe that it's possible, since I've seen it work on other communities. With this, we can show the community that Discussions can actually be a place to grow the community. The request is for nothing but open minds and a little (more) patience. In my view, the community really has nothing to lose, especially since we're not asking anything of anyone.

There is also a great opportunity to have a secondary benefit, getting feedback from readers on the existing content, and what more they might want to see. We will be trying that as well. The traditional place for article feedback -- the talk page -- has the same challenges for new people as editing the article itself. So Discussions can be a way to connect with dedicated readers, since the articles are the other reason people use the mobile app.

Does this seem like an unreasonable approach to take? Please give me your honest opinion after reviewing that plan and the stated intent. Thanks. -BertH (help forum | blog) 23:20, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
