Licence Cleanup?

I know how important licences are when it comes to pictures. I am not suggesting that we remove them. I think that the pictures need cleaned up. On the Lovejoy picture, what is that's licence? I want to use a cropped version on my page. And, excuse me for being stupid, but I don't really know what any of those licences in the drop down really mean. I know what public domain and everything is, but some people don't know what some of the more advanced ones are, like what the heck is GDFL supposed to mean? Really, this all needs dumbed down, because it has deterred me from posting one or two photos before. Any opinions? Agreon 00:23, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
