So the DLC Vengeance came out and I must say, this was a big one. 4 new maps, Cove, Uplink, Detour and the over-played Rush. These maps come with a brand new kick-ass zombies map, Buried. Let's start with Multiplayer.
Cove is a small rather unique map, as in it has pop culture references such as Tom Hanks raft to civilization and the map Hijacked. Cove reminded me of the Call of Duty: World at War map Banzai, a very unique, new, and different maps, something no one has seen. This map was genius, balanced (to a degree, SMGs are pretty safe in this one), and great.
Uplink is the remake of the map Summit from Call of Duty: Black Ops. This map brought so many great things back from one of the most loved maps in the Call of Duty Series (sorry Shipment). The map is of course, CQC Friendly, but that is the only downside of it.
This sniper-mid-range map is pretty good, but completely non-playable with any SMG besides a Peacekeeper. The map has pretty difficult spots and is pretty objective-biased, still a very good map though.
For a moment at 9AM, I thought to myself "Have I played any map besides this one?" the answer was no, I haven't. The map is really over-played by the community and the map is getting destroyed faster than a cow in a slaughter house. The map is not mid-range, either Snipers or SMGs, the map is the same boring BO2 maps that I hate.
Buried and it's mini-game counterparts
Buried, this map, love this map. At first glance I thought it wouldn't beat MoTD but I must say, the map is glorious in every way. Treyarch out-did itself with wonderful new buildables, new Weapons, and even new objectives, and the best part? The game got scary again.
I remembering nearly crapping my pants after entering the mansion, the witches scared me and all of my friends out, I haven't been scared of zombies since atleast Kino der Toten, this map is possibly my favorite map in all of zombies.
The weapons? Great, the Ray Gun Mark II is something I am willing to have sex with, and the Paralyzer is eh, but perhaps that is just my opinion there. The time-bomb is better than monkeys to a point of impact, and the boxs chance of giving bad or good guns is perfectly balanced.
The buildables? Awesome, albeit I haven't been able to try all of them, I can assure you, thanks to the COD wiki articles, they are great. The Head Chopper is hilariously invulnerable, and I can take one over and over again. The Trampoline or whatever you call it, catapult? Whatever. The Trampoline is my favorite buildable so of course I love it.
Rating for Buried: 10/10
Overall I think this DLC was the best one made by Treyarch, and I really hope to see more of it.
