A tipster who claimed to have information on the inside of Activison informed gaming website Dualshockers that Black Ops II will have a live-streaming function included with the game itself.
"Black Ops 2 will now have a live streaming feature built right in," the supposed tipster told the site. "You can automatically stream your gameplay over the internet easily. You would require a camera though for the feature that shows your face. This may or may not work with Kinect."
"E-sports is really fascinating," he said. "That's something we've been paying a lot of attention to. Black Ops 1 was on the MLG pro circuit for PS3, but we frankly didn't know much about it to be honest.
"We didn't know what pro gaming was like until Black Ops made it onto the circuit and it really opened our eyes up to this diverse community, this cool, competitive world and what they're perspective is. That's really influenced the game design in lots of interesting ways."
Vonderhaar concludes that "[sic] media and gaming and E-Sports . . . have had this real deep impact which you'll see reflected in the game design [of Black Ops II]."
E-Sports also had a brief cameo in the final moments of the Black Ops II multiplayer reveal trailer, which was released yesterday.
