The KSG12 and me

It was 12:30AM in the morning.

I had recently taken the initiative to prestige... to, start afresh. And with a fresh start, what better weapon to start with than the KSG12?

So I began to use it. At first, I grew fond of its large magazine and, reasonable power. I levelled it up quickly to start off with. Then, it all went downhill as I began to play Team Defender.

You see, the KSG12, it's a flawed thing. It's not perfect, frankly it's a pretty rubbish weapon until you decide to really get down and dirty with it and get the Range proficiency.

But I didn't do that. I got impatient at my failure after failure at the hands of this gun, and gave up. So I went to the SCAR-L. Game after game, I would receive a 1+ K/D. Game after game, I would do well. You may think that that's a good thing, winning all the time, and not having to worry about failure.

You couldn't be more wrong.

You see, there was much less fun with the SCAR-L than I was having with the KSG12. Something about the challenge that came packaged with the abomination of a shotgun that the KSG12 is, really got me into it. So I soldiered on, and surely enough, I got used to the gun. I bonded with it. Well that's probably taking it too far, but you know what I mean. Slowly but consistently, the weapon levels began rolling in.

And the best thing is, I was having more fun by constantly getting 0.5 - 0.9 K/D ratios than I was by constantly getting 1+ K/D ratios.

So my friends, put down those ACR 6.8s and those PP90M1s, those Strikers and those FADs. Pick up a KSG12, or a Dragunov, or something that you know you'll suck with. You'll have twice as much fun doing half as good as you normally do.

Or maybe I'm just insane.

TL;DR - Use something you won't do as well as something you normally use, you'll have more fun.

Have a light-hearted and semi-mockery of a video:
