Yeah, as the title suggests, slightly off topic for this website (actually really off topic, but still...)
But are there any heavy metal/hard rock fans out there? I know a few but I'll looking for more bands to look into (besides the usual Slipknot, Metallica, Linkin Park, ect. ect) for songs I can play. Yay, I finally got my Ibanez restrung (mo-fo was a bitach to string, I figured it out all by myself, and hurt myself with plyers) and I'm wanting to learn some new songs.
So what are some song suggestions you could give me. Please, for Chris sake, no screamo or Norwegian Death Metal (they give me a headache). Feel free to add anything to the list really, except for pop or rap....because that music is basically electronic, none of the sound is real instruments.
Some bands/artist I vaguely know that I should listen to more (song suggestions for these are welcome):
- Avenged Sevenfold (RIP The Sull.)
- Disturbed
- Stone Temple Pilots
- Slayer (I know they've been around for a while)
- Megadeth (I feel like I'm betraying Metallica by saying that, they're pretty cool)
- Anthrax (starting to see a thrash metal pattern? These three (Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer) are three of the four founding thrash metal bands (Metallica being the other))
- Alice Cooper (FTW!)
- Buckethead (I know a few of his songs, I have Albino Slug (The Redeem team is awesome) and that's it. Sad, gotta get more)
