Ready for zombie news? Mark Lamia, Treyarch's studio head has hinted at the future of Black Ops II zombies to Official PlayStation Magazine UK.

"Our zombie fans want more zombies. They literally want more zombies and they want more ways to play. They want bigger maps. They want even more interesting things to do inside these levels."
— Mark Lamia

Hinting on several expansions from the previous games (Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: World at War), Mark has stated that they are crafting "new worlds, creating new game modes and bigger worlds", able to do this due to a "undead tech upgrade". They have found a way to put zombies inside of their multiplayer engine, upgrading the zombie mode to be capable of doing twice as many zombies, but twice as many co-op players.

"Eight player zombies is more than just a bigger set up, it’s changing the entire game. “There are actually new modes. There’s classic mode that you guys are used to but there are going to be new modes. [Twice as many co-op players] introduces some interesting new gameplay modes. Perhaps you can think of some team game modes where there might be fun to be had?"
— Mark Lamia

Lamia has officially confirmed that there will be 8-player co-op zombies, and several new game modes such as Classic Mode, present in current games. He hints at some team game modes, possibly Team Deathmatch with zombies attacking the closest players around or Zombies vs Humans? I have no idea, grasping at straws here, but one thing's for sure. Black Ops II is its own game mode. Treyarch is going for it this time on zombies, making sure that this new zombie experience will be the best one yet.
