Gears of War 3 managed to top Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the xBox Live Leaderboards (Activity), but failed to top the giant known as.... Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Epic Games have not hid their strong desire to make Gears of War an online gaming "juggernaut", continuing the series' competitive multiplayer game modes with Gears of War 3, which was released on September 20th. Successful with their new Horde 2.0 and their Beast Mode game modes, they were successful in topping the two-year-old game MW2 a slot; but losing to Black Ops, which is owned by many more people then Gears of War 3 (around 7 million +).
