Seeing that people are arguing over which game is better, MW2 or Black Ops, I've decided to make a blog comparing the two so they can be discussed here instead of on blogs where it is irrelevant to the topic. I'm giving my opinions on these. I'll go through them part by part. Whether or not you like the games is a personal preference.
Both games use the same weapons classes, with the exception of the Specials for Black Ops. What gets me about Black Ops is that there's a good amount of weapons that are identical in damage output, which lowers the diversity of the weapons class. Treyarch's Josh Olin (JD_2020) has posted on the official PS3 blog that the First Strike DLC will be available for download on March 3rd for the PS3. Recently, the release date for the PC's DLC has been revealed to be the end of March (Source) The release date for the Wii has yet to be announced.
In related news, Activision has formed a new company devoted to creating digital downloads for Call of Duty. The team will be called Beachhead, and have been tasked with creating "best in class digital experience for Call of Duty." Looks like we will see more Black Ops DLC in the future.

I've either avoided the Red Dot/Reflex or used the standard Red Dot in my first months of playing. Recently, I stumbled upon a thread much like this blog, where people were discussing sight customization. Apparently an orange lens and blue sight work well in the dark. I use a clear lens and green hollow circle. A person on the thread said that the eye is naturally attracted to the colours green, red and white, and can focus well on a circle. So I did a green circle. It makes quite an improvement on my game.
