Hello everyone, Legos here, back from inactivity! Well, it has been over a month and a half since my last edits, and over four since an honest blog, so I'm not quite sure how to start things out. Anyways, this is by far my longest hiatus from the Wiki (unfortunately). To be brief, I felt as though I was losing interest in the Wiki, and that combined with school work ultimately kept me from editing here. However, I'm hoping to break that cycle and return to normal editing and all that good stuff.
I figured what a better way to start this than by bringing back a series I haven't done in a long time - Bests and Worsts of CoD! For this episode, I decided to list some of the best things about the greatest CoD title to date - Black Ops III on last gen consoles (specifically PS3). This will be about some of the things which last gen players don't have to deal with compared to current gen players. So without further delay, let's get started!
Supply Drops and the Black Market
I'm just going to jump right into this by saying last gen doesn't have supply drops. Whether you enjoy or hate them is besides the point, but undeniably 90%+ of all content is complete crap. You have these soldier customizations which, simply put, are unappealing to the game. I don't care too much for realism, but at the same time, I don't need my soldier looking like a blind man who just returned from a fashion show's thrift shop.
A slight downside, however, is that there are a lot of cool weapons in the supply drops which seem like a lot of fun to mess around with. I mean, why wouldn't I want to have nineteen reskins of the default knife, including a mannequin arm? Actually, scratch that, the only way I'm going to be able to acquire all the weapons is to sell my soul to Vonderhaar and pay $1 million dollars for CoD points...I'll pass.
Last gen doesn't have taunts. Which means no dab and nae nae. Nuff said.confirmed exo dab as new dlc melee weapon
CoD has created some pretty cool looking camos over the last few years. Unfortunately, many of these cool looking camos are only available with micro-DLCs. But what the heck were they thinking when they created camos based on the different CoD eSports teams? I would rather see the entire winners' circle dab than see someone with any of these camos on their weapons. It's not like I would buy any micro-DLC personalization in the first place, but at the same time...I'd rather play a round of 9v1 TDM on Nuk3town where I only have my fists and the other team is using the Brecci and trip mines. Also, my fists are the monotonic camos seen in the IW beta.
I am a trophy hunter. I like the idea of playing to some goal (to what degree trophies/achievements have ruined games is a different matter). To say the least, it took my six hours each just to complete "Vendetta" and "Their Land, Their Blood" on veteran...no way in heck am I going to waste my time trying to complete BO3 on realistic. Then again, Advanced Warfare on veteran took less time as a whole than the two missions combined...
Black Ops I
Because I have BO3, I also received a free digital download of the first Black Ops! Ha ha ha! In your...oh wait, I already have that game on disc...well this is useless to me...
If anything else good about BO3 on last gen comes into my head, I'll be sure to add it along the way. I would also like to spend a bit more time adding images, maybe a couple polls, etc. to make this blog a bit better and more up to my own standards for my opinion blogs. I do plan on making my fourth blog revolve around the things I wish last gen had that current gen does have, so expect that soon.
So to anyone who has played last gen BO3, what's your favorite part of the game? And to those on current gen, what's your least favorite thing about current gen BO3 which doesn't appear in last gen? Let me know down below!
Until next time, Legos out.
