British newspaper, The Sunday Times, recently posted an image of Captain John "Soap" MacTavish in an article about the failed hostage rescue attempt by Italian and British Special Forces in Nigeria with, for some reason, the game character's identity being hidden.
This is similar to an event last year when ITV used footage from PC game ARMA II in a documentary thinking it was an IRA attack in 1988.
