What we know so far about the next Call of Duty - March Update

Sledgehammer Games are making it^[1], saying that "The next Call of Duty represents a new era for this amazing franchise"^[2]. It is not known if it will be the third person action adventure game they were working on before they were asked to help Infinity Ward with Modern Warfare 3.
It will be released on Xbox 360, PS3^[3], Xbox One and PS4. It is apparently being developed primarily for next-gen platforms with Eric Hirshberg saying “Sledgehammer is approaching this as a next-gen-first development. Obviously in the console-transition year, anyone who developed a cross-generational game last year had to deal with the fact that the technology of the next-gen platforms was still coming into focus and changing quite a bit during the development process… Now that we have the next-gen hardware out in the marketplace and solid, that is our primary development.” ^[4]
The game will feature a helicopter.^[5] As well as some guns.^[6]^[7]^[8]

The game will probably be a Modern Warfare game because a SH Games employee said he's making "real visual effects for the next Call of Duty – Modern Warfare release."^[9].
Recently a twitter user, @LOKIOLR, posted details about the next Call of Duty from Sony’s Destination PlayStation event (However he then later said the details were false). He stated that the new game was another entry in the Modern Warfare series and featured a mission on the golden gate bridge. The code name for the game is apparently "Black Smith"^[10]. Youtuber Drift0r also saw several media files that included gameplay and game assets from "Black Smith", and featured the Golden Gate bridge that @LOKIOLR. Drift0r said that "I think next call of Duty title might be Modern Warfare 4" and that "The assets I was given were not verifiable nor was it from a trusted source. However, they are at least unique. I was unable to find them elsewhere online. If it not CoD2k14, then it was an amazing CoD mod, or some other triple A title that has not seen the light of day."^[11]

A Job Listing has asked for a temporary VFX Artist at the studio, stating “The candidates will have the opportunity to contribute in various areas of in-game effects including but not excluding weaponry effects, vehicle destruction, large-scaled rigid body simulations and environmental effects such as fire, smoke, water, and weather system.”. Which seems to suggest a major update to some of the engine's features.^[12]
