A job listing on Infinity Ward's official site may have outed a Call of Duty game for next-generation consoles, calling for a candidate "with experience in game development and an interest in working with next-generation technologies" to take up the post of senior animator.

Other listings advertise that Infinity Ward is looking for a software engineer, environment artist, a game designer and an engineer. Though there is never mention of a new console, next-generation technologies is more than open to interpretation, with the listing for senior environment artist also mentioning work with "next-gen textures" and "next-gen shaders".

According to their own job ads Sledgehammer has already started recruiting for "an unannounced high-end console title".
