I'm bringing this issue straight to you, as I don't think a discussion on the RfA talk page will get very far. This concerns a recent trend of users nominating other users for adminship.
The RfA page does not state that users can nominate anyone but themselves, and even if they are allowed to do so, I feel that it is against the spirit of the wiki to put people up for higher positions without their knowledge or consent. It feels that many users are treating admin positions as rewards or recognition for contribution rather than the issues admins are expected to handle, as seen by the numerous "he deserves it" line of thought.
Several recent nominations of other users have resulted in rejections by the nominated user and discussions don't seem to be looking positive. My hunch is that the nominees may feel that the discussion is occurring "behind their back". I'm sure you can agree that users are more than willing to nominate themselves if they feel like they're up for the job.
Being the senior bureaucrat, could you officially clarify expectations on the RfA page? --Scottie theNerd 16:15, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
I agree. As BigM once said on one of my past RFAs, "Adminship is not deserved, it is simply extra tools". Someone nominating someone else usually does not mention why giving the user administrative/bureaucratic rights would benefit the wiki, they normally just flatter them and tell everyone else how good they are. Callofduty4Octavia17:25, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
For the record, when I nominated both Griever and EightOhEight it was with their permission in cases where I asked them, they did not ask me. So users don't always ask for nominations. Darthkenobi0Talk|Blog|Contributions|Editcount 05:08, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
Same went for when I nominated for Juan as admin. DevilWarrior11209:56, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Hello Chiafriend. As you probably know there are 2 bureaucrat nominations going on. Will you be willing to make 2 new bureaucrats or just 1? (I do realize that my vote might still fail, so don't worry I'm not jumping ahead of myself here). I would like to know because if you will only accept one then I'll do something regarding my RfB. Callofduty4Octavia19:47, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
But you are no longer a 'Crat. Enjoy being an admin for the rest of your life! >:D Darkman 4 05:15, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
lol, I was quite confused until I saw Slowrider's comment in that RFA. Good stuff. Imrlybord7 05:43, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
I'm glad you've accepted that Pokertape has replaced you. Darkman 4 06:24, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
You have not won. You have only managed to archive me. Edit
Well, I'm back. And I'd like to remind you that regardless of how many battles you may have won, the one you just won was Pyrrhic, at best, so I am still winning. >:) IcepacKs 00:25, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
Hahaha yeah. I've seen that video. It has my full support :P. If necessary I'll download the video and censor it myself :P. (you're now losing) IcepacKs 11:07, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
We need to see which users should be removed from Roleplay (because they haven't been doing anything like posting chapters) and ask some people to change their characters and not make them be hollywood actors who can fire 2 M1 Garands with both hands and reload in 0.2 seconds. So can we halt? Toilet Bowl Soldier 08:11, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for the heads up :D Toilet Bowl Soldier 02:49, April 10, 2010 (UTC)
I think the roleplay should end now, Chia. I'm not in it but I've seen the rapid growth of the roleplay. As Toilet Bowl Soldier said above, first remove any users then work on a way to finish the story. DevilWarrior11209:56, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
Why can't I edit call of Duty 8? FIKUS96 17:33, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
I think you should rename the article to "Call of Duty (Sledgehammer Games)". Here's why. as you know, Modern Warfare 3 has been announced and will be coming out in 2011. Call of Duty (Sledgehammer Games) is also announced to come out in 2011, so it is unknown which game will be coming out first and which game will be Call of Duty 8.
In the article it was stated multiple times that the game was to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops, so I took the liberty of moving it. Sorry for the mistake.
'Kay thanks, I usually use the four tilde one anyway. Any suggestions for a good signature? I really like yours. Darthkenobi0Talk|Blog|Contributions|Editcount 05:32, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
well yeah I like basic, I just really love that image, haha. Well maybe you can help me, I was trying to make a 2x2 micro table so that I had no borders, just the four links I have, stacked up. Also I'm thinking about just the basic like yours, and I kind of did that with the new one, but I can't pick a good image, any ideas? Darthkenobi0Talk|Blog|Contributions|Editcount 05:39, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Okay thanks, I was actually looking more for something like "I think a (insert image description here) picture would fit you because you're (insert random description of me here)." haha Darthkenobi0Talk|Blog|Contributions|Editcount 06:12, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
I like it, I like it! But yeah, my boredom knows no bounds. Anywho, I think the first thing you should focus on is establishing exactly why and how they are committing these murders. Are they total sociopaths, deranged lunatics, or genius vigilantes (my vote would be a mix of 1 and 3)? How do they manage to kill so many people without getting caught? I also think that once the first one gets caught, you should explore the gradual mental decay of each remaining member as paranoia overcomes them; the group's destruction should be reminiscent of a pack of rabid dogs turning on each other one by one. Maybe some will kill each other, some will get arrested, some will turn to drugs, and others will run away. I think it would be really cool if the two or three kindest members ran away together and had some degree of success (I smell a sequel!). But yeah, cool idea, and of course all of these suggestions are just that, so feel free to ignore whatever you don't like.
Also, you're actually one of the funniest people I have ever known. And sick techno song, too. Capt. BordTCE 06:42, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, I understand. Anyway, what's up? Callofduty4Octavia16:30, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Good to hear you've finished with your finals, and I wish you luck with the graphic design. As you might know, there was a volcanic eruption in Iceland, which in turn made flights out of, or into, most of Europe impossible, due to the ash cloud. It just so happened that my uncle and aunt were in England to get a flight back to Canada, and so yes, their flight was canceled due to the eruption. So, we offered to take them in (the airlines did not have to pay for accommodation) to stay with us until they get a flight. So, this weekend we'll probably go out somewhere with them. Callofduty4Octavia18:29, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Although I don't think this will pass, I have to say simply with that, he has not been all to active and there is another user who has put more blood and sweat into this wiki and has earned it in better light then Saint has. Peter GriffenBoyRadio Operator
"I couldn't sleep last night, so I stayed up 'til about 2 AM playing Nazi Zombies, which really didn't help at all. I kept glancing up at my bedroom window, thinking, 'I should probably get some fucking boards on that window'."
TheManOfIron was being malicious and uncivil not only to me, but a several other users. That was in addition to the attitude he showed me (and others). I think he warranted that block, and that was not the first case of him showing disrespect for other users. Also, I talked with Joey on IRC for a bit and he said to "Use my best judgment", which I did.
I know people are allowed to question others, but he put it in such a mean and offensive way, especially when Darkman was just made a bureaucrat. That is why I said it was totally unnecessary. Callofduty4Octavia10:06, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
I am putting together a new recreational user groups called the Fan-Fiction Writers Club aka the Fanfciters, and am looking for new users, if you yourself would like to join, I would much appreciate, or if you know another who would, please let me know as I think any fan-fiction writers on this wiki could benefit from a group to meet and showcase within. Thanks for your time. Darthkenobi0Talk|Blog|Editcount 00:09, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
We are sort of in the middle of a sock puppet debacle with TheManofIron. I think that he just made a bunch of accounts when he first joined because he couldn't decide on a name. A lot of new users would probably do something similar; they have no reason to think it's a big deal to have vacant accounts lying around. I think we need to better advertise to new users that if they make multiple accounts they have to tell us which one they want to keep so that we can block the others. Any ideas? Imrlybord7 05:09, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Halopedia has such a thing. When you visit the site while not logged in, there is an automated notice at the top of the page that says something along the lines of "and remember, creation of multiple accounts will result in a block." We could use a message like that, if anyone knows how. -- CoD addict(talk·edits)
First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Bondpedia, and I'm the main administrator and bureaucrat at Battlefield Wiki. Recently, thanks to User:Doc.Richtofen and countless others, our wiki has been saved by the participation and help of CoD Wiki members, and unfortunately, there is an issue I'd like to take up with you (amongst others recommended by Doc).
Peter Griffin Boy came with several others to our wiki, and like at yours, there has been trouble, but mainly regarding discussions on CoD Wiki. Since PGB has been blocked here, he has been over at Battlefield Wiki arguing with other members about his blocks, so to get come context before I have to intervene I have a, hopefully simple, question to ask:
Can you outline for me, from the start, what PGB has done, the reasons for blocks, who did what and when etc., preferably impartially, it'd help immensely.
I'm contacting others as well, so if you're busy I'll understand, but I just don't want this dispute to continue to escalate. Your help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks - Bondpedia (Talk) 19:17, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
I also did it out of respect for Saint. And yes, I am saying that crats deserve more respect than sysops. But please feel free to change it back. Ironically, by my saying that (and potentially you acting on it) it just reaffirms the very thing that you are trying to combat. Imrlybord7 00:39, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
I don't disagree with you, however, I feel that only the most respected of sysops end up becoming crats. It isn't that the position affords respect, it's that respect affords the position. Imrlybord7 01:00, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
"...but the respect should fuel the bureaucracy, not the title fueling the respect" sounds awfully similar to "It isn't that the position affords respect, it's that respect affords the position," eh? Imrlybord7 01:10, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
Gage is the least active administrator. He even listed himself as semi-active. And... yeah. Stuff. /hint towards the time I said that there are sysops who shouldn't be Imrlybord7 01:23, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
IRC por un momento, pl0x? Imrlybord7 01:35, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
Why, I did notice you were gone. I think you missed the PGB bashing and permablocking. Regarding the blocking policy and me closing it, that policy is one that technically should and can be used every day, I thought closing it as soon as possible was the best thing to do. However, I do appreciate your opinions and agree that it could have stayed open for a little bit longer. My apologies for that.
Regarding the affiliates, I have no idea how those came about. I think Darkman might have something to do with them, seeing he put up the sitenotice regarding them.
Also on the topic of forums, if I may I'd like to guide you attention to the forum here. Your input will be much appreciated.
Now, on the topic of rap, it seems you're quite the fan of it. Not much of a fan myself unfortunately, but what rappers do you like? I would assume those you mentioned.
Anyhow, it's good to see you're back. Callofduty4Octavia17:05, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
I think the same way as you on rap - in addition I think that nowadays when someone sees the word "rap" all they think about it senseless songs about drugs, sex, money etc.
And I do know who Tony Hawk, Dick van Dyke, Mario and the rest are lol, I was referring only to the rappers and "rappers" you mentioned.
If you want to have a say on the blocking policy, then you can if you want. I know it is archived but there is always a talk page... Bovell (he made the draft) would be interested in what you have to say. Callofduty4Octavia17:09, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
I contacted several CoD websites and asked if they wanted to be affiliates. If they said yes, I added them here. That's it. Darkman 4 02:46, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
"Normally I don't do that, but I think the wiki has too much important information to ignore!" The owner of MW 24/7 after he responded to the email I sent him. Darkman 4 02:57, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
None of them asked what it was, if that means anything. Darkman 4 02:58, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, archive is what I meant to say. Anyway, this is something that Scottie and I came up with. I originally had it much more in line with what you are saying, but that means that users are recognized two months after the month of activity (one month to edit, one month for nominations and votes, winner declared on the first day of the third month). With this system users have about 20 days of the month to edit, a 4 day time period to be nominated, and about a week for voting. This means that users are credited with the proper month. And how can you say that people don't win? It's a bunch of users running against each other. One wins, the rest don't. The last sentence was put in because users are oftentimes nominated for UotM simply because they are good users and haven't won it yet. That isn't how it should work, and it's a good idea to remind potential nominators about that. If you want to see what I mean by "much more in line with what you are saying," just compare my revisions of the paragraph in the page's history. Imrlybord7 02:09, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
So does that mean you support this format, sans the "winner" bit? Imrlybord7 06:10, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
While I originally conceived that nominations can be done anytime during the month, the 4-day nomination period makes sense in that you can't really nominate someone earlier since they haven't actually done anything during the month proper. I do, by the way, agree with your stance on the term "winner". One doesn't win UotM just as one doesn't "win" a decoration. --Scottie theNerd 07:00, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, it was just something I sent out to the admins to see if anyone was interested, it's really more of a forum for your work, so if you ever write something and feel like sharing it, you can feel free to post it on the group page as a sample, or some such thing. Darthkenobi0Talk|Blog|Editcount 00:31, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
Needs some refining. I figured that if a group needed 10 members to be official, all the members could vote, and a 10-0-0 vote will always pass. So I imposed a voting requirements that currently state to vote, you cannot be a part of the usergroup. However, we have a usergroup entitled Usergroups:Zombie Slayers, which has no definitive goal, besides editing the Nazi Zombie pages, the Nazi Zombie wikia, and the Zombiepedia. The Nazi Zombie pages are currently fine, and the other two pertain to different wikis. Other than that, the group has no goal, which makes me believe that the group should not be official.
Secondly, we have a usergroup request for User:Sactage/Admin's Pets. This one has even less of a definitive purpose except to seek attention and look for future RfA votes. Helping the admins is what every user does, and most senior users would not like to be referred to as a "Pet".
As far as I can tell, that's the only way to differentiate between the two. Maybe they wore different hats? :P SaintofLosAngelesXD(M) 22:30, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
Came across your post on CoD4's talk page. First Sergeant Bodette was featured on an episode of Shootout and is a commentator on Dogfights, specifically the episode featuring the USS Johnston I believe. Why am I telling you this? To be honest, I don't really know. Perhaps it's because we have the same taste in TV shows (The America documentary is really good).
BTW, I feel the exact same way about rap music. Anywho, hope your vacation was good. I myself actually got back from Okinawa last week (went to Shuri Castle). Chief z 13:59, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

This Wiki is in dire need of an authoritative figure. We need someone to lay down the line, to make the rules, and to finish what is destroying the wiki.
My suggestions to make the Wiki more professional:
All relevant blogs should be allowed, excluding blogs that are irrelevant or could easily spawn a flame war. For example, a blog titled "relationship advice," "XXX Show Your Face!!!," "Infinity Ward vs. Treyarch," etc. should not be allowed.
Users can be more merciful regarding the trivia purge. Some users have wasted their time finding little pieces of information only to have it wiped away by users because of a project topic that has a whole one line of discussion and no community input.
No one should be allowed to post pictures of themselves, excluding pictures for their avatars. Example: Random Man posted a picture of himself that had his full name on it. That is potentially dangerous.
A new policy needs to be created. Ironically, it's regarding the implementation of new policies. For example, when EightOhEight proposed that all Trivia sections be cut down, I objected and Darkman 4 went to effectively purge all of the Trivia in the mainspace, with the rest of the Wiki practically pissing vinegar. Furthermore, the new blogging policy was put into effect without a community vote. This caused a metric shit ton of users to get extremely angry with Wiki authority, and many users even threatened to leave. Many others made even more blogs regarding the policy, yet again detracting from the mainspace.
Whatever you want to do, you can do, as you are my superior, but the community is really sick of the piss-poor state that the Wiki is in right now. I am going to propose this in the Projects forum, but I'm just giving you a heads-up.
There is no policy which states that all policies must be first approved in the war room, especially those that need to be put into immediate action and are as important as the cleanup operation and blogging policy. Therefore, what was done was perfectly fine. Callofduty4Octavia17:36, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
First off, I plan on making draft policies for a few War Room topics pretty soon; would you say that the signature restrictions have reached a consensus yet? It's fair to say the discussion has been ongoing for quite some time.
Speaking of consensus, it appears some users do not understand why we are not following a "majority rules" type of system. Do you think creating a brief policy stating that we deal with matters by consensus would be necessary? I'd appreciate your opinion. Thanks. BovellTalk | Contrib. 22:45, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
Due to your impeccable behavior and/or contributions, you have been awarded the Medal of Editing. You are a hard working editor, and you make the wiki proud. We applaud you for obtaining the title of Featured User, and we encourage further editing from you.
What are the criteria for earning this medal? Obviously being active here for the stated amount of time, but what else? I'm going to start handing them out and make a template for them if they haven't been already. Callofduty4Octavia08:42, May 23, 2010 (UTC)
Due to your incredibly outstanding effort, and unrivaled dedication to the wiki, you have been awarded the 24 months good conduct medal. You are an extremely hard working editor, and you make the wiki very proud. Well done!
Just wanted to say thanks for everything, you're sort of like our leader (you're a role-model for wikians, not really a "leader" in the sense of authority, but in the sense of ... good behavior (?) I can't think of the right word) but really a trend-setter for good wikians, and you're really a nice guy, so thanks! (Sorry you didn't get an actual paragraph like Bord D:) <Darthkenobi0><Talk>
/me sees your page and jizzes (Epic song, epic quote :D) no need to say "you're welcome", really I just wanted to let you know you're appreciated (uh oh... OBVIOUS STATEMENT ALERT). Warpig3|1|2 22:30, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
I am an editor on the fallout and alan wake wiki, i was looking on halopedia and i noticed someone has threatened the halo wiki, saying that they are going to delete all pages, can you enlighten me on this topic.Felixwilliams12 08:16, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
An I.P. just vandalized one of our articles seen HERE, proclaiming that members of this wiki have organized a group of your users and/or the wiki as a whole will "wreck havoc" on Halopedia if we don't delete our articles within a week for the simple fact that our franchise apparently "sucks". Of course, this is childish and retarded fanboy behavior seen althroughout Wikia due to a lack of an IQ test prior to joining a wiki.
Certainly, I got a great laugh out of this character, though I guess its my duty to bring this to your attention so you could see if I should actually take this seriously.
Have a good one,
CommanderTony 13:43, May 28, 2010 (UTC)
First things first: I wouldn't worry too much about your story "not having a point." One of my friends had similar criticisms for the movie "Black Hawk Down", even after I tried to tell him that for military personnel and stories about them, there is no other "point" besides the mission. And yes, you're correct: promotion to Private First Class in the US Army is automatic, and the rank is usually picked up faster than the Marine Corps' equivalent rank "Lance Corporal". -- Griever0311 00:00, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
but I will NOT tolerate racism to any extent, and he has been blocked for racism before. I did not even consider blocking him or threaten to block him until he started making personal attacks. Imrlybord7 04:47, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Insulting communism is definitely not the same thing as harassing communists. Imrlybord7 04:55, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Alright, so this all started due to an innocuous oversight that I made. I should have said that I was quoting Liberty Prime and meant the initial comment as a joke (mostly). However, from that point I feel that the vast majority of the blame lies with TMOI, but I still did not consider blocking him or threaten to block him until he started the personal attacks. The whole "Russian superiority" bit is what sealed the deal (as I said, I won't tolerate racism and he has been blocked for it before). At most I am guilty of unintentional flame-baiting (I don't think that trying to find out why someone feels how they do is all that bad). Imrlybord7 05:02, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Declaring oneself a communist is practically begging to start a flame war as it stands and at that point he had already engaged in personal attacks (calling me a jackass and Darth a prick). Imrlybord7 05:08, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Since that had nothing to do with communism vs capitalism other than comparing Russia to the U.S., I called him out for just promoting Russia and bashing the U.S. Then I asked him if next he would say that Russians are superior to other people, and he was quite adamant to respond with a yes. Also, like I said, I was quoting Liberty Prime. I figured that people would pick up on it, pick up on the fact that I wouldn't say such a thing seriously, and/or not be so sensitive about it. Imrlybord7 05:17, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
Very well, but as I said on Shotrocket's talk page I don't think that people should be allowed to express those kinds of views outside of their user page unless they are willing to defend them (as in that should apply to everyone, not just TMOI, communists, etc.). Also, have you read through the entire series of comments? If not, please check it out.Imrlybord7 05:33, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
I know this sounds like a wierd request, but would there be any chance of being able to block blogs involving various developers (Infinity Ward and Treyarch) that will obviously involve flamebaiting? Just take TMOI's blog as an example of what I mean. Also, is it just me or have you noticed that a fair share of bad blogs are started mainly by players with >500 edits? Smuff 16:34, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
I need help making my usergroup. It's called the Spetsnaz lovers, and I was wondering if you could help me make it. If you like them, you can be a senior member, if you'd like. TMOI 05:14, June 3, 2010 (UTC)
I checked imdb.com and it lists Woods' first name as Frank. Would that count as a reliable source? Or would you prefer something a little more "official," like an interview? I'm just asking because some people may have a problem with imdb (Rs4Life got on my case about the site). I remember they listed Fairbrass as voicing Ghost weeks before anyone knew about it. Chief z 05:32, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Chia! I was wondering this a few minutes ago....
Since you've started the 1st Roleplay on this Wiki, Tage Der Albtraume, I was just thinking about maybe starting up another 2nd RP? Just give me more time to think about the story I have in mind, just ask me later.
I was reading through User:Chiafriend12/Reviews and saw Empire Earth. It seems like a good game to me. I might not have fully understood though. Do you basically create your own scenarios? Pvt.Dunn 23:24, June 5, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Chia. I might buy the game. I could probably find it for $4.00 at EB Games. Pvt.Dunn 00:29, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Solicitation for green heart ribbon w/ oak cluster Edit
Hi Chiafriend12, I hereby request the Green Heart Ribbon w/ Oak Cluster . I have done over 400 licensing edits to images that were in need. I have done numerous categorizing edits to Un-categorized pages. I don't know how many but it was more than a handful. I know that this doesn't count but I have done over 2000 welcomes and numerous vandal reverts. I am sure that EightOhEight can Vouch for my above said edits. I had solicted CallofDuty4 but go no response. Thanks for your consideration. Sincerely, Talk 00:49, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
TMOI would appreciate it if you read through his talk page. Edit
So you think it is acceptable that completely unprovoked he called the French cowards and said that anything that isn't Russian is "a piece of shit" or "gay?" Imrlybord7 06:58, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry Chia, but it has to stop. TMOI is now just going for it, he's purposly promoting communism infront of a mainly American, capitalist and democratic audience. He's even changed his picture to the USSR Hammer and Sickle, not even going by modern-day Russia while going on blogs just saying things about how anything Russian is the best weapon ever designed, maybe I could understand if he was talking about the Tsar Bomb, but other than that, it's rediculous. Face it, he's now just out there to wind up as many people as he can. Maybe some of the stuff PGB did was accidental, but as you can tell TMOI is doing all of it purposly. Smuff 10:29, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
Even though the situation has basically been resolved, I would like to clarify that the only "arguing" I did with TMOI on this occasion was explaining why I blocked him (I did not communicate with him at all during the events leading up to the block), telling him to clean up his act, and correcting several false points/accusations that he made against myself and Callofduty4. Also, CodExpert calling TMOI a troll was an accusation, not a personal attack, and it definitely does not warrant any disciplinary action. And, according to what seems to be your logic, there is nothing wrong with calling someone a poor excuse for an American. Besides, you are more than capable of handing out hourly blocks yourself. Imrlybord7 16:36, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
I will explain it again. TMOI was posting blatantly racist comments in a blog. I was not in communication with him while he was doing it nor was he provoked by any other user. I came in, saw the comments, and told him that because of what he said he would be blocked for 3 days and that I would be much harsher in dealing with any future racism from him. He then asked for an explanation as to why he was blocked on his talk page, and I said that it was for calling the French "cowards" and saying that everything that wasn't Russian was "gay" or a "piece of shit." Then he flipped out to a ridiculous extent. The only thing I did that went over the line slightly was call him "insane," but that was way after the fact and given what he had been saying it wasn't exactly unwarranted. Oh, and then there were the quotes about killing Americans on his user page, which I would not tolerate regardless of nationality (except for, say, Nazis). Once again, I did not get involved whatsoever until I had already blocked him for the racist comments. And if you think that what he said wasn't racist, well... then I am both floored and speechless. Imrlybord7 02:29, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
No, it's the majority of the wiki who have a problem with it, not just myself. Many have the problem that he likes communism as a whole, not just the concept. I have a problem for a different reason, he goes in and promotes it, which then causes other users to complain, which leads to flaming and a the home page listed with flaming about government types. I'm asking for the general health of the wiki, not for my own. Tell me one blog he has not mentioned about Communism or anything Russian since he replaced that picture and I will take it all back, because while I'm on, I've yet to see that. Yes, he has a high edit count. Yes, he deserves the right to everything we have. But it seems you're giving him preferential treatment against everyone else, and that isn't to fair to everyone else who gives a damn. So far the only improvement I've seen is he's taken the Anti-American quotes off his page. Smuff 21:17, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
I was reading some messages on your talk page (sorry for being a snoop, but it's my nature to be curious), and saw something about hourly blocks. I am guessing it is possible to lay a block on someone for less than 24 hours. I mean, could you, if you needed to, block me for 4 hours, no more, no less? 404 ErrorFile Not FoundPlease Try Again 17:05, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Said discussions were stagnating and going nowhere. The articles contributed nothing to the wiki with the exception of "big picture" recaps of game events, which I left un-deleted. You once told me that community consensus means nothing if the issue is ridiculous, i.e. implementing illegal torrents or something like that. Well, having a bunch of articles essentially copy/pasted from Wikipedia whose only CoD-relevant information was already covered in other articles definitely struck me as ridiculous. Imrlybord7 02:32, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
Uhh, I saw what you wrote on Bord's talk page, and it seems that the articles are gonna get restored. Now, I deleted a crap-load of red links from about 10-20 articles...should I revert that? Commander W567123danielWanna Talk?|My Duty|Wassup? 02:40, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
CallofDuty4 vandalized by Usergroup. I think he needs a serous block, because it IS CLEARLY STATED NOT TO MENTION COMMUNISM in that group. I think he needs some time to review the groups rule. Maybe 1-3 days can help him learn. Thanks. TMOI
^Ignore the above. I posted it on the talk page. I wouldn't take advice from a user who has been blocked many times previously and neglects to clean up his act. Callofduty4Octavia16:56, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

It usually entails acting deliberately ignorant to annoy people. I'm not sure how much time you have spent on, say, GameFAQs, but I've been around the e-block more than a few times. Imrlybord7 09:16, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Oui, c'est ca! Yeah, something like that, preferably if it was semi-protected or something. It would be quite helpful just, rather than spamming two or three admins pages we could have that page that ALL the admins could see. Any chance of something like that being feesable? Not sure if you would remember me at all, but I have recently been given sysop powers over at the rather quite Company of Heroes wiki. I few days ago, I performed my first block, and if possible I would like some advice or something about blocking unhelpful IP's and users. I would also like some comments on the block I made. Joeyaa told me to fetch you, c'est tres importante. Warpig3|1|2 23:03, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
Given that Joey is actually an admin here, I don't see what gives him the right to withhold information from other administrators and only tell you. If you don't mind my asking, and this is a serious question, what the hell is his problem? Imrlybord7 04:41, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
That's fine and dandy, but when withholding said information from anyone but you is detrimental to the wiki (which is the case here), that's when I get pissed. The issue would already have been resolved if he had just told me or one of the other admins about it, or, imagine this, dealth with the issue himself. And once again, because I am very curious, I will ask, what the hell is his problem? And you know exactly what I am referring to. Imrlybord7 21:46, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Specific users, regardless of whom they are (COD:AEAE), reserve the right to speak with specific users on their own time and will about what they wish (federal rights within the countries both Chia and I live which take precedence over what you believe.) Your speculation about what we were to speak about is completely unrelated to the fact of what was discussed. And the fact you raise the idea that the wiki is related to our possible conversation(s) is also an unfounded idea. In addition, you also state that I'm withholding information from you, while the matter of fact is, I have no information to share with you. I am not a staff member at Wikia. I am not responsible for supplying you with information of my conversations with other users, as either a VSTF member or an Admin here (from my time as an admin here, over 1 year, I have NEVER read something stating I must release private info about myself or Chia to you or other admins.) Finally, and I say this as bluntly as I can, your curiosity has nothing to do with reality, my actions on Wikia or off Wikia, and personal information. If your curiosity drives your actions as an administrator here, then I am very deeply worried. "What the hell is his problem" -- I suggest you lay off, learn to respect other users, and understand that there are things above you in this world. Joeyaa 00:19, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Is it possible to increase the number of users that appear on the page that lists the users with the highest edit counts? Imrlybord7 20:43, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

I fully respect your vote and your reasoning, and honestly half agree, but I need to point out a few things that I never really got to say.
There was provocation, I realize that I lost control, and I take responsibility for expressing my displeasure with TMOI in an uncivil fashion, but this is the only time I have explicitly insulted any user, any other incident of "unsavory" behavior was toward the end of being baited or rash controversial statements that could be viewed as bait.
The full context of those conversations is not present in a single one of those screen captures, and it is unlikely the full conversations still exist, again, I recognize that I should have reacted more civilly, but only a small portion of what was said is shown, I continually asked then told him to stop making vulgar statements (direct violations of the Wiki's IRC policies), spamming, and otherwise being trollish in nature (which is undeniable, there's clear evidence if you'd like it).
As I said, the "Away Fucking Killiks" was an obscure Star Wars reference, and while a bit inappropriate, I don't see how that qualifies as an insult, I was trying to jokingly capture his attention. If controversial or inappropriate jokes are something that means a user is not to be trusted with the tools of an admin, why are any of our admins admins? You regularly make your "burns down an orphanage" jokes, which I have no problem with, but could be seen as inappropriate, Darkman has made sexual jokes in public, Bord has made statements about politics which is a subject that in itself is an inferno of debate, I'm sorry but I honestly don't see how that point is valid in the context you made it.
Again, not that I don't trust or respect you, but I'd like to clarify and some clarification, all business. <Darthkenobi0><Talk>
Considering the number of sysops who have advocated different sides of the argument and the amount of time the discussion has been open, I think it is only appropriate that a bureaucrat determines the outcome of this War Room topic. BovellTalk | Contrib. 23:53, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

I would be objected to closing it objectively (pun not intended?). I've asked Darkman thrice to do something about it since the beginning of this month, yet the topic remains unclosed. It's not good practice to let all these War Room forum topics sit there like ducks and remain unarchived, particularly since the forum then displays a false number of "active" topics. What was the consensus regarding article titles for weapons that appear in different CoD games but with different names(i.e. Browning M2)? I've seen M60(Black Ops) and M16(Black Ops) spring up, when they're basically the same as their previous iterations. I do remember discussing it prior to MW2's launch, but I don't recall if anything official came up out of it. I just have a fear that we'd be creating redundant articles when most can be put in one place. Chief z 12:42, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, I figured as much, seeing as how the M21 and M14 EBR have seperate articles even though they're technically the same. I guesss once the BO articles are filled, I'll consider bringing it up in the War Room if that problem arises. Thanks again. Chief z 13:06, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

I was unaware that a template had been created, and had forgotten about this second paragraph addition to COD:LEAK.
If I recall the situation correctly from last year, Wikia staff contacted us about a complaint from Activision regarding the leaked information. Obviously, it is probably in the wiki's best interest to not engage in a legal battle with such a company, so the leaked Modern Warfare 2 info was taken down.
Activision has not made a copyright claim on the leaked Black Ops information yet, but they can do so just as easily as last year. Thus far, I've been having trouble getting people to adhere to COD:LEAK in regards to its first paragraph. BovellTalk | Contrib. 10:52, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Well, if it is dead, then I'll guess I'll start finishing it, but it was just a thought, considering Zombies will be returning shortly and to be continuing the Tage Der Albtraume story line and merge into the Black Ops storyline. And heres a summary of what's happened since you've last checked the roleplay, mind me I do not have all the details since the pages have gotten so long, I've had to archive every 50 posts on the page just to decrease length, perhaps with everyone's consent a CoD Wiki book/comic based on the Role Play should be released?
Anyways, heres the summary:
Riley is forced to fend off the zombies by himself, leaving Erika to run for her life successfully into a bar and break down crying, Allan, Stanton and the others then continue their trek to Berlin, discovering Riley survived and was rescued by a Trench-Gun wielding soldier named "Arthur North" from the 1st Marines division. Meanwhile, the other group of Vasili, Herzog, Michael and Cooper discover Erika, who temporarily is rendered insane and tries to kill Michael, but then she is coerced into letting go her weapon and laments why she left Riley to die. Soon, Riley and the others fight their way to the outskirts of Berlin to famed Metro 2, where a young soldier named "Yuri Pavelov", the fictitious brother of Call of Duty: Finest Hour's female sniper, Tanya Pavelovna. Then Eddie Price finds his way into this mess and meets up with a man named "Allan Maconnel", who really is a Leibstandarte-SS Bodyguard of Nazi Party officials who disguised himself as a US soldier to assassinate British and US Officers. Then, the first wave of bombers strikes Berlin soon after the group of Stanton, Falcon and Riley and the others have left the "Hell hole" and made their way to the camp, after making several stops to kill off any small hordes pursuing them. They then are alerted by the same Lieutenant that your character Sgt. Vicks pissed off when they dropped by informs them a RAF pilot wants a platoon sized unit to search Berlin and deal with any remaining zombies in the area. And meanwhile, a mysterious Gestapo Agent named "Adabold Kaempffer" appears on the scene, killing 1 zombie, and starting to flash back on his experiences on how the outbreak started, which begs the question for those still interested, "What caused the outbreak?" I can't continue, I'll get Carpel Tunnel syndrome if I write any further. :P Braden 0.0Talk 21:23, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

In light of recent release of CoD: Black Ops, how about you and I plan a new official RP based on Treyarch's zombie mode.
The story will be based upon the events of the zombie map "Five", except here's the full story basis and how the zombie infection started:
The time is October 24th, 1964. 19 years since the original zombie outbreak in Berlin in October 1945. As a part of the military coverup of the incident, the US army had the bodies of the deceased soldiers reanimated by the toxic chemical known as 115, brought back to be tested in the labs of the Pentagon, until one day, something went very wrong, a scientist accidentally got cut by a sharp edge on one of the bloody soldier's knife, and since the knife had the chemical weapon on it, the scientist was infected and the infection spread as he bit people, turning them once again, into the horde of the undead, now it is up to a small band of survivors who have barricaded themselves inside the Pentagon to prevent the infection from spreading into society and kill it off once, and for all.
Your image File:Chia_Pimp_My_Gun_creations.png contained so many epic PMGs that the image servers couldn't handle the epicness and therefore cannot generate a thumbnail, which means it doesn't show up anywhere :( You might need to cut the image in two and upload both halves, so the servers will only need to deal with half the epicness at once. --Callofduty4 13:33, December 21, 2010 (UTC)
They're are many references to him being assassinated, with emails, video clips and even the main character being thought as the one who killed him. --N7 (talk) 09:02, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
Chia, heads up, there's two vandals that attacked the L96A1 page. Edit
Thanks for the image crops. I'll be more careful to check for cropping issues when I convert from the dds files to jpg. bibliomaniac15 18:23, January 5, 2011 (UTC)
Callofduty4's and Azuris' RfBs need closing, as both have overwhelming support. I tell you this as you are generally the most active crat. P.S., please archive your talk page for the love of my computer. elmo'sramblings17:56, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I know I asked on IRC yesterday but Whiskey said I should just leave you a message regarding it. Thanks, Cpl.BohaterTalk 03:32, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Hey, when I said "Chiafriend12 obviously cares about the community", that wasn't sarcasm, and yeah I realise with wording such as that it could have been easily taken as such
I said "Chiafriend12 obviously cares about the community" because you were against blogs being banned, and I said that because I know that the community revolves around blogs, as you said before you left.
I'm telling you this because you seem to have taken what I said as a snarky sarcastic comment, which it wasn't :P --Callofduty4 01:02, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

I have noticed that, when editing in Source mode, there is a Wiki markup section below that contains a <s></s> option. This tag is deprecated in HTML 4 and may not be supported in HTML 5. As I am unable to edit the template (it is protected), I wanted to know if you had the ability to edit it? I think that the <s></s> option should be replaced by <del></del> and <ins></ins> if possible. Please let me know if this is something you can do, and if not, who can? — Jako7286Talk 20:23, March 18, 2011 (UTC)
What is the difference between a bureaucrat (like yourself with a cyan name) and an admin (like N7 with a green name)? Do bureaucrats have any extra tools or is it the same but you get a cooler name tag? Also, what are the powers that admins have that regular users (like myself) don't have?
Considering that you are one of the only buraucrat that isn't in some way involved with this, can you close this forum and determine the consensus? The vote has been open for awhile and hasn't gotten much attention since last week or so. Rambo36213:03, June 24, 2011 (UTC)

After the War Room riot discussion about a possible Call of Duty Clan event, I'd like to ask if a page could be made in preparation for teh event. I know I could make one, but I don't think it goes on the mainspace (I think), and it's a big, community-wide thing, so I find it reasonable to request an admin to do it. Especially when they themselves (you) were involved in the discussion in question.
(Small little tiny request: Who's the actual organizer or leader of this event? Can I be one ^_^ ?!?)
I've noticed, Yes there is many chat mods, though many are commonly "Away". Thinking of trying to get a influx of more active chat mods, Good idea? Rift Cyra Puppysmiles 03:50, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Can you please change it back, it did not effect text, articles and had no harm what so ever, I also have asked several other administrators in the past if a image can be over the 30px rule, they said and I quote "It may as long as its not to big and doesnt affect any text or format".
I am going to let an admin deal with this issue. I don't want to get chewed up and spit out for banning him by making the wrong decision so I want to put this in your more capable hands.
First of all: he got all his images from google.
Second of all: There are no computers in Afghanistan for soldiers to use for "casual non-work related access" (That rules out the COD WIKIA)
Third of all: Soldiers don't go around telling people how many terrorists they killed. That shit is from the movies.
Fourth of all: He would not be posting pictures of his "platoon" (even though they are from Google images) that is just personal invasion.
Fifth of all: I recall Power saying that he has "patrol" in two hour (I don't know if you were there). Soldiers do not say that as it is classified.
Sixth: Soldiers wouldn't flip out if someone said they were not a soldier.
Seventh: He says he is 19. Yet, his images make him look A LOT older.
And eighth: If he was under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, his ass would be court marshaled for the things he did on here
I consider this irrefutable proof that he is a fake, like Painincarnate. However, I am going to put this into your hands. I know you will make the right decision.
When is the appropriate time to remove the spoiler tags for Modern Warfare 3?Edit
Hey Chia, just dropping a message just to consult with you on the removal of the spoiler tags. I felt that things worked out with how things were handled in Modern Warfare 2. I was considering about removing them some time at the end of January, if not, I am flexible to do it at a later date or so. Dibol 13:38, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reply. I was going to reply as soon as I saw the message while I was in school, but I ran out of available time, then forgot about it until now <3
Yes, I think this video would be a good idea, especially when put to that track. The theatre mode uploads are of much better quality and stability than Black Ops. (example). Assuming it wouldn't be too much work for you to compile the video, it would be great in my opinion! Callofduty4Octavia00:57, January 14, 2012 (UTC)
Second, I got it like almost half a year ago and it was lingering my files, so I uploaded it, I honestly don't have the slightest clue or memory of where I got that from. xD
JSYK, my bot now automagically compresses PNGs. Since I know you do a lot of compressing, you can also have the bot help you out if you want a smaller workload. Just leave any images you want compressed here and it should clean them up within an hour or so. -- Sactage(talk) 15:51, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
Aparently CallofDuty4 had the final word about the film being canon before closing the discussion last month. Is there any way to re-edit the Call of Duty Games Template (link to template: http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Template_talk:CoDgames) ? I dropped him a message over the weekend, but he never responded. Thanks for whatever assists you gave me. Dibol 04:16, January 26, 2012 (UTC)
You being the most senior active user have seen this wiki from practically the beginning. Because of this I have a request: could you please look over the Community timeline and add whatever you can? Specifically, anything from when the wiki was first created seeing as though you're the only user who might have any info on the wiki from then. Please and thank you. Good day. Please, delete this image because it's duplicate. And one more: put this image on this page (Second page, Seventh column). Thanks. IDDQD 16:23, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
Due to the effort you've put into the images on the wiki, you have been awarded the Notable Image Contributions Medal. You've brought a large amount of improvement to many articles. Well done!
Keep up the good work!
For efforts put towards images from games before CoD4, and also improving many images through compression. Callofduty4Octavia14:03, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

Please stop deleteing my Arctic Recon Page. If you compare your gamerscore ith someone on xbox live for Modern Warfare 3 it will show the three achievements, revealing the mission name. Plus they said on there twitter that it will be coming tuesday June 19th. I dont know how to add sources to the pages sorry. Please stop deleting it —Unsigned comment was added by MS77xXxJJboy
I'm merging all the images to get rid of the numbers, the uploads are just taking a tad longer then deletions. Just a heads up so we don't run into that deletion-revert issue again.
I would like to know if you created the character infobox. If so, i would like to request an improvement. Can you add the tab 'Weapon of Death' to be more precise and readers will know which weapon killed the character.
That would be really awesome and I'd watch that for sure. If you want, could you show me the track as it is? I'd love to hear it c: Callofduty4Octavia07:30, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
Shouldn't you include what would happen in each mission of Strike Force if they fail they mission like what will happen in its corresponding mission that follows it.-- 22:19, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
