Welcome to the wiki!Edit

Black Ops II soldier welcome template

Hello and welcome to the Call of Duty Wiki! Thanks for your contributions. We hope you'll stick around to make even more!

Have you created your user page yet? It's your own personal page, and you can do anything you want with it! Your user page will also help us get to know you as an editor better. However, it also has some rules you should know about, so don't just start posting everything!

Here are some links that you may find helpful:

  • Recent changes provides you with a list of pages that other users are currently editing, which might give you an idea of where you can help out.
  • The help pages are a resource for you to use if you are new to wikis or need a guide for editing.
  • The forums are a good place to ask any questions you may have, or start your own discussion.
  • The Call of Duty Wiki's policies and guidelines are some rules for you to follow, and will also help you make better contributions.

Still have questions? Feel free to [[User talk:{{{1}}}|ask me]] or contact another administrator. Sysops' names are highlighted in green and bureaucrats' names are highlighted in cyan. When leaving a message, leave ~~~~ at the end of your post so we can recognize you.

We hope you enjoy editing here, and look forward to seeing you around!

Renames Edit

You wanna explain why you're renaming pages for no apparent reason? DX1mnCh.pngRaven's wing Talk11:54, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

Don't delete discussions Edit

Hello, Xeoxer. It has come to my attention that you have recently deleted part or all of the text on a talk page, that was not vandalism. This is a violation of one the policies on the wiki, seen here, in which you can not delete discussions from a talk page with exception of obvious vandalism, flaming, or spam. If you would like to archive your talk page, please ask an administrator. If you continue to delete discussions off talk pages, you will eventually be subject to a block. Thank you for understanding, have a nice day!

Speculation Edit

So calling a character we are explicitly told is dead dead is speculation, but putting "presumably" in front of it isn't? Can you explain the logic please? DX1mnCh.pngRaven's wing Talk20:12, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Don't add leaked informationEdit

Hello, Xeoxer. It seems that you have recently added information that is thought or confirmed to be leaked. This is a violation of the leaked information policy, which states you can not add leaked information to articles, under any circumstances. This policy was created due to the potential of Activision claiming copyright, which would prompt possible legal action against Wikia, Inc. Therefore, this rule cannot be ignored. If you continue to add leaked information to articles, you may be subject to a block.

If it comes from leaked achievements, don't add it. DX1mnCh.pngRaven's wing Talk20:15, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Recent EditsEdit

Hai! I would like to say your previous edits are not currently required. Your edits will be undone and it is appreciated you do not do them again. Reason being: Unnecessary. Thank you. Personal AndImBatman Sig imageBats a.k.a Rarity Filly  15:11, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

While you should be bold in this instance it's likely better to simply leave the tabber options out of the infoboxes. It makes them look quite bloated and can be a bit of an eye-saw. Thanks. 15:18, January 16, 2013 (UTC)

Bad Edit Edit

An edit you recently made to a page was undone because it was either:

  • Incorrect
  • Contained poor English
  • Did not conform to Wiki policies
  • Unnecessary
  • Concerned real life info, which is not generally allowed
  • Contained speculation, which is not generally allowed
  • Opinionated
  • Featured a formatting error

Please read the Manual of Style and the policies in order to brush up on the style and professionalism that is expected on this wiki.
You are still free to make edits; however, please make sure they are up to standards!
Thanks!

You are merely adding more content than is needed. What is on the pages currently is fine. 22:40, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
