Good to have you aboard at the Call of Duty Wiki, so here's some tips on how you can help:
Read our policies, if you haven't already. You'll be informed on the do's and do not's, as well as some guidelines when creating new articles.
Recent changes is a great second stop, because you can see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
The Sandbox is a great place to test things out if this is your first time editing wikis. It is advisable to know what is commonplace on the wiki, such as templates and categories, and how to use them.
Questions? You can ask at the Help desk, the "discussion" page associated with each article, or browse through the help directory. Feel free as well to ask on my talk page; we take care of our friends, recruit!
Have feedback? The War Room is used to discuss changes to wiki or other community related issues. You'll need 50 main space edits to vote, recruit, but your opinion is still appreciated!
I hope you enjoy editing on the wiki new guy! This is WHISKEY35, briefing's over.
That is real life info, and it is not needed. So please stop otherwise I will report you. Bravo Five-NineTalk 17:33, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
You make that sound like he's going to prison or something. Callofduty4Octavia14:35, September 11, 2010 (UTC)
Well now I understand. I'll just make a Trivia bit when I can be bothered. YellowRiolu 17:40, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Still not acceptable. We treat the guns as completely fictional. If you want to add that info somewhere, add it to a place like Wikipedia, which such trivia is acceptable. Darkman 4 17:37, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Anyway, an Admin has locked the page... Bravo Five-NineTalk 17:37, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Oh heheh... It's just I've seen real life info on some of the pages. YellowRiolu 17:40, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
Then make your wiki proud and remove it :D A Lonely Nomad 17:42, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I would like to know this "clue" you found in whatever level, and if you've seen fake gameplay, I can't really believe it. --Callofduty4 17:43, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
The clue is that you see Dunn repel down at the end of The Only Easy Day...Was Yesterday and I sorta deny the fake gameplay. ONN got it flagged and so problems occured. It's okay for now though :) YellowRiolu-Always on Xbox. 19:26, October 4, 2010 (UTC)
Yea I saw them too, I'm slapping up Bad edit templates now on their talk page right now... I swear, getting tired of false trivia like "Oh it's a revolver, that must mean it's an American weapon" when foreign companies also make revolvers, such as Taurus Firearms, based in Brazil. And other people getting into fights over the origins of horror movie references... Razgriez 19:24, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
Dude you're a legend. Alright let's clean up and let the admins take over when they're ready. Yellow. 19:27, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
For the template, when editing a user's talk page, under the "Insert" tools, click on the expanding arrow labeled "Template", select "Other Template/magic word, type in Bad Edit on the window that appears. and Select "Template: Bad Edit"
The next window is the Template Editor, for deciding what you want in there.
Section #2 is used to enter in the Page name/URL location on the wiki
Section #3 is where you add your Signature. with 4 tildes (~)
Remember, adding false Bad Edit templates, is against CoD Wiki policies. Only use them after doing a legitimate Undo. Also note, that veteran editors who have their edits undone, typically double check the edit to see where we messed up at, and if we disagree we talk it over (in a mature manner) with the editor who undid it.
I told you already, how to use it. Do NOT abuse the Bad edit templates, That's considered Harrassment/intimidating behavior. Razgriez 20:31, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
I haven't used the Bad edit template yet. Yellow. 16:01, January 4, 2011 (UTC)
Hi there! Sorry about this, but there's two things wrong with this picture that can be easily fixed:
Your signature is... strange. Make sure your signature has both links to your user page and your talk page, otherwise users may have a hard time reaching your page.
I've noticed you attempt to respond to other users comments through your own talk page. Unfortunately, this is often time consuming for the person you're talking to, due to the lack of a notification that a message was sent. If you want a higher chance of getting a reply, it is best to leave a comment on their talk page, generally with Re: followed by the title they used.
Apart from that I think your doing well! Smuffin[citation provided]23:31, January 28, 2011 (UTC)
Go into your preferences and copy paste the following into your custom signature box:
Instead of using [http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Bottle Bottle] to link to Bottle, you can just use [[Bottle]]. In addition, when you use a template, you don't need to do something like {{Template:Comment}}, you can just use {{Comment}}. -- Sactage(talk) 19:59, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
What do you mean? It's a gamemode, I'm playing it on the PS3 right now. --ukimies {talk | irc | administration} 19:03, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
No problem. However, I think it's something Treyarch would do for Double XP weekend. --ukimies {talk | irc | administration} 19:05, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
Seeing as the PS3 didn't get First Strike, we don't have it. What's it like? --ukimies {talk | irc | administration} 19:14, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
I'll get to it. Gonna enjoy my Nuketown right now. :) --ukimies {talk | irc | administration} 19:19, February 5, 2011 (UTC)
If you have uploads, we'd encourage you to send them to an administrator that has access so he can upload them. I'm unsure of giving you access at this time... I think you'll need to edit here a bit longer and have a few upload requests before that happens. BovellTalk | Contrib. 23:44, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
LOL. I kind of laughed when you put up that quote saying "An Atomic Bomb? What are you trying to do, kill everybody in the game, or destroy Alaska?" I laughed because I remember saying that during my days before I made this account. Just puttin' it out there.Jar teh marksman 14:56, April 16, 2011 (UTC)
We kindly ask you to please properly license all future images that you upload to the wiki. It is the sole responsibility of the up-loader to license any image he/she uploads to the wiki. When uploading an image to the wiki, towards the bottom of the page there is an option to add a license. Click on the drop down menu; there on the menu in the lower section, you will see "fair use and with permission" options.
For images that are game screenshots, use Copyrighted Media.
For non-game screenshots (pictures taken from the web etc.), use Fair Use.
For images that are not licensed, or images you have made yourself, use Public Domain.
You add the license to the image at the same time you upload it to the wiki. For more help and details, see here. If you have any questions please contact me on my Talk page and I'll be glad to help.

But it is still 50px high, as opposed to the maximum of 30px high. So indeed you were right, it is stretching the page, and please upload another image of 30px high instead. Thanx0rz Joeytje50talki is gud admin supprot ma RfA 09:14, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Going to the filepage, checking the file history, it says what the dimensions of the image are. Else, you can go to the source url of the image, and in the title bar it says the amount of pixels it has (atleast in Chrome, not sure for other browsers). Joeytje50talki is gud admin supprot ma RfA 15:45, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
no I don't say I archive at 9000 bytes, I archive at over 9000 bytes. 100k bytes is also over 9000 bytes. and, you can just use gifs with {{R}}. Joeytje50talki is gud admin supprot ma RfA 16:26, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

You're now in a "last chance" scenario. You need to pay attention to what you say, do, etc. If you happen to screw up again, you'll be banned for one month, and I'm sure you don't want that. -- Sactage(talk) 12:48, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

I'd say keep it as African Militia, because we called the Militia the Brazilian Militia, not the Brazil Militia so I would follow that principle of naming. :) TSTKTalk 20:06, September 2, 2011 (UTC)

Please move Template:Sig/YR to Template:Signature/YellowRiolu. Abbreviations in signature template names are not necessary. Callofduty4Octavia20:44, October 1, 2011 (UTC)
WTH? Why did you guys delete Raining Teddy Bears, ITS NOT SPAM! ITS WAS MADE BY TREYARCH! It's the actual song! Its the name. Just like the victory theme of dead ops is Zombies Don't Surf. Pleaze explain this to me! World3nder 18:25, October 12, 2011 (UTC)WOrld3nder
Just so you know YR, you are wrong. Creating a page for the Dead Ops Arcade songs is perfectly fine. Won't Back Down doesn't have a page because it was't made for Zombies, same as Nightmare. 11:46, October 16, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not trying to advertise, i'm trying to help people who want to know what the story is like. I apologize for putting those videos in, but please know I had no intention of advertising or vandalizing.
A complete lack of respect for the MP40 article? Why you actually wanted it as FA? I'm sorry, but what? Starting with the nom, apparently I haven't given enough info or whatever. Fair enough, but lack of respect? Everything I wrote was respectful. Ive seen articles with one sentence written about them get nominated, so what's the big deal here? I think you are being very very harsh with what your wrote, and as a matter of fact are showing no respect at all to me, rather than me being "disrespectful" to an article. MarlboroNS 19:24, November 9, 2011 (UTC)
I'm gonna have to agree with Marlboro here. In case you haven't noticed, Of their own Accord, which you voted for, has a one sentence description too. And you say you "nicked" it from Cod4, he wrote that to you when you gave a RfB for Smuff, a user and a person for one of the highest positions on the wiki, not the featured Article. 19:28, November 9, 2011 (UTC)
Just in case I confused people, the ID's limit only exists during times when it is closed to get articles removed from it. When it's open, there's no limit to the amount of articles in it. The limit's more of a goal than a limit, but limit's a stronger word and gets people to nominate articles for removal. PoketapeTalk 19:02, November 26, 2011 (UTC)
Well, it's always been like that. Before I was admin there was just one article in the improvement drive and I believe it said ID article of the month even though it was never changed. I looked at the FA page, created the current ID, and made articles require nominations to get taken out instead of just getting taken out after a month even if they hadn't improved. I've tried getting more people involved, and right now there's quite a bit more activity than there originally was, albeit still relatively small. PoketapeTalk 17:17, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
Well I don't think I ever asked any of them. That would definitely help if they put something about the improvement drive, though. PoketapeTalk 17:23, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
I don't think it was necessary for you to put a bad edit warning on Zombiehunter115's talk page. I explained him what was wrong with his edit already, its on his talk page. 14:20, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
No, next time bad edit is required i'll use it. HE needs a little more explanation then Bad edit allows. 14:25, November 27, 2011 (UTC)
I thought you could still have blogs of leaked content, as long as you don't put the things in mainspace... - MLGISNOT4ME[Talk] - 20:38, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
Ok so first for those automatic tildes you need a javascript. You can see mine here. Copy all the code in the javascript, and once you have created User:YellowRiolu/wikia.js; insert the code nto it, but do chnage the code to suit your preferences. Also you will need a miniature image to insert into the javascript, but you can use my one as a placeholder if that is what you please. -- --mr_experttalk 20:15, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
Whatever points there were, it was ruined by an explicit mention of something that has no bearing on UoTM. FireBird- didn't want the nomination/title anyway. Callofduty4Octavia13:55, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
I see that you've been undoing my edits, for as I've been adding a space in a spot that didn't have a space. Don't believe me? Check it again. So please stop undoin my edit that is correct.
The youtube template is on top of my page, with the pause/play button working. I tested it on two different browsers(Chrome and IE). The button is there, aren't you having any problems? FireBird- 21:22, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

I've considered it, and it's good to see someone thinks that lol. I don't know atm. I just posted a request for Custodian tools not to long ago. REDSKIN-26 17:58, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
I highly doubt it considering it's a right given out by Wikia staff and is about as difficult to obtain as checkuser. Callofduty4Octavia19:13, December 30, 2011 (UTC)
Good, I like that people see what I talk about them. No sarcasm intended. Second, yes, if we're inputting personal opinions about it, fine. But, hell, I could take whatever bad thin you've done recently (that it doesn't fits me over my opinion), and use it as an oppose. Also, were you even there when that happened? (S:C problem). Iirc, Drk, Darkmetroid, Katana and Damac pretty much fucked up chat. Damac won like a 10 min. ban, and it wasn't over UTP, it was more of a disobeyance kind of thing (Sam saying "stop it", Damac kept on doing it). I have the logs over there somewhere, if you want them. Yes, you're entitled to say your opinion, never countered that, that doesn't means I'm forbidden to criticise it/touch it/make another opinion about it.
I noticed that the Background didn't appear on chrome, so I fixed it (hopefully this is what it was supposed to look like) RosechuShiny Pichu 06:10, February 1, 2012 (UTC)

"I can't see the picture but ANYTHING to get rid of the annoying tiny white pixels due to bad photoshopping on that left potato. (Why the hell potatoes?)"
— you
I'll have you know that the white pixels are there for the humorous reason of being there (so boring explaining something fun). And the potatoes are also there for a reason: To show thankfulness towards the devs for giving people CoD. So before you go and comment on my Photoshop skills I would appreciate it if you asked somebody who knew anything about it (preferably the one who uploaded the potato logo in the first place). -- Azuristalk 23:13, April 2, 2012 (UTC)
Only if someone actually spends their time looking for it, and there's an archive template saying "do not edit" so even if someone does edit it we just undo it.
Not sure. My mom rented a house somewhere in London. Best part is that I go to London on a school trip for 3 days in May 25-28 and one month with family in June 15. - MLGISNOT4ME[Talk] - 11:57, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
Well i'm not removing the deletion, 2 there a stub there for you to improve it and 3 i listen to wiki policie, okay there is such thing as spawn killing and we can't sugar coat it.Dan67 13:16, April 17, 2012 (UTC)
i Just asked for it to be improved and all i got was intimidation also I can't access special Chat because literally i'm on a School Controlled computer (I'm not special okay so don't even suggest it) i'll be on my blogs to avoid further Confrontation.
True it ain't that big of a arguement, i checked the ones that were deleted and it showed some crazy contributers talking about being spawn killed, but all i wanted was a Professional page that simply explains what is spawn killing like in the Call of duty series? i got an idea from Battlefield wiki's Spawn trapping and spawn Killing pages. But i'm fine for now.Dan67 13:59, April 17, 2012 (UTC)
Do not attempt to conscript people into your "secret little operation" to attempt to desysop an administrator. Do not attempt to belittle one of the most serious and last-ditch efforts as a "secret little operation". If you do it again you will be blocked from the entire site for a set period of time, and anyone else involved severely warned.
You can still continue setting up a forum but do not do it in such an inappropriate way. Callofduty4Octavia22:17, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
