"It seems that some Yanks discovered a resupply schedule for a mobile V2 unit called Batterie #445. Now SOE wants us to take it out. First launches in September 1944; SOE reports over 900 V2s have since been fired at London."
Sergeant Evans's notes before the mission

V-2 Rocket Site is the twenty-fifth campaign mission in Call of Duty and Call of Duty: Classic, and the final mission of the British campaign. Sergeant Evans and Sergeant Waters must destroy three V-2 Rockets at Batterie #445.

Plot[]

At Festung Recogne, the American paratroopers led by Captain Foley discovered German intelligence telling of a V-2 Rocket battery at Burgsteinfurt in western Germany. To prevent more rockets from being fired at London, SOE has ordered Sergeant Evans, Sergeant Waters, and a team from the SAS to neutralize Batterie #445. After parachuting into the area in the early morning, Waters and Evans will destroy the Flakvierling anti-aircraft guns while another team ambushes a German supply convoy. They will destroy the launch site then exfiltrate to the Dutch border.

Evans and Waters begin the operation by moving east through a snowy forest. German soldiers fire at them from behind rocks, trees, and shallow trenches, but the SAS troopers push ahead to the first AA gun. Evans destroys it with an explosive charge, and the two continue through the forest, fighting the Germans the whole way. After destroying the second gun, they make their way to a road at the perimeter of the base. Two Opel Blitz trucks drive through the gate, only for them to be met with a hail of gunfire from the opposite side of the road, then explode from mines. With the trucks destroyed, Waters and Evans link up with the second team, and together they move west to find Batterie #445. They come under fire from German MG42s in a few bunkers, but push on to find the V-2s at the launch site. It is surrounded by concrete bunkers, which the SAS must take out before destroying the rockets. Waters tells Evans that the explosives they have won't be enough to blow up the rockets on their own, so he must fuel them up first.

Evans moves into a bunker west of the launch site and clears it room by room of German occupants. Descending into the lower level of the bunker, he finds the fueling controls and flips the switch to dispense the fuel. Returning topside and out of the bunker, Evans moves back to the launch site while Waters and the SAS team cover him. He places a charge at the base of three rockets, and watches as they explode. With the rockets destroyed, Evans, Waters, and the SAS men (if any have survived the firefight) move into the northernmost bunker, fight their way through it, and exit out the back.
