Colonel Young was an American officer assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division who fought in World War II, as featured in Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.
During "Operation Husky", he flew a glider into Gela, which subsequently crashed into the town square. Lt. Delaney ordered Sgt. Hawkins's squad to try to relieve Young and the other survivors from the crash. During the firefight, all but one of Young's men were killed, and Young made it out. After that, Colonel Young is not seen again by Hawking's squad.
